tikkun olam is a Hebrew phrase that means “repairing the world” (or “healing the world”) referring to humanity’s shared responsibility to heal, repair and transform the world. This notion of assuming responsibility for the entire world is not unique to any one culture and forms the basis of what is sometimes referred to as the path of the *spiritual warrior*.  In Lurianic Kabbalah we encounter some very specific ideas of how this is achieved by means of liberating the 10 sephiroth (or numbers) of the Kabbalistic Tree of Life. Luria taught that the Sephiroth (also called vessels) had become damaged in the first round of the Creation, making it necessary that these broken shards be returned to Ain Soph (the Boundless Light) from where they first originated. This is an allegorical tale hyphenating the need for us to manage our own mental debris, raising the standard of Mind itself. Mutational Alchemy goes on to demonstrate that the Tetractys of the Decad is ultimately the most efficient means of accomplishing this. The Tetractys unfolds symmetrically in four distinct stages finally culminating in Abrahadabra which contains 10 x 10 triangular *chambers* within itself distinguishing both Tree and Star divisions all contingent upon the number 10 – a number most often associated to Malkuth (Kingdom) and thus *the world* as well as *universe*, kabbalistically speaking. So we find that repairing ourselves is essentially synonymous with the principle tikkun olam.  *Physician, heal thyself!* the age-old axiom recants. Only by way of healing our spiritual selves does healing the world become rationally attainable.

While an in-depth study of the Tetractys eventually leads us to a symbiotic binary & ternary mathematics culminating in a highly complex anatomical physics, there are a few exemplary roadmaps in route to this that do not require of us to have fully mastered that more comprehensive physics. Indeed, on the face of it, it might take us a thousand or more years to do any such thing! What has come to be called the TwinStar is outstanding among these more distilled symbological roadmaps. Thus the TwinStar is most often passed on to seekers of this greater knowledge even at the beginning stages of their development, as it is known to comprise that greater knowledge within itself and can dispense that knowledge interactively with dedicated application and study. This can only be communicated experientially at this pass, despite the fact that there exists a growing body of data suggesting that we will eventually be able to prove it empirically as well. For the moment we are still relying upon the faithful accounts of individuals doing their own work and reporting their own individual findings.

The TwinStar is of the rarest class of magickally charged symbols expressing a kind of topological super-symmetry rooted in specialized numerical arrangements. The counting of these numbers in their proper sequence creates a kind of magnetic ley-line effect and the most potent of these are called unicursal glyphs as they are infinitely repeating symbols whose alpha and omega points are the same at the level of plane geometry. The most famous of these rare symbols is known as the Great Seal of Saturn in Western mystery traditions:

This arrangement of 9 sequential numbers is called magickal because all horizontal, vertical and diagonal rows of numbers produce the same value (15) whereas the resulting symbol is weighed auspicious for being compliant, coherent, unicursal and also conforming to 4:4 time rhythmically. It is thus highly adaptable to the pronunciation of various four-fold words of power, whether names of God or other dynamic four-fold mantras. Altogether we derive a means of both expressing and alchemically projecting some imagined form of Unity.  It is important to acknowledge that we are engaging the faculty of imagination in this type of visualization exercise but we are at the same time adhering to a well defined set of logical rules such that both hemispheres of the physical brain are equally engaged.  It is generally maintained that this sort of sigil is capable of producing a wide range of possible impacts, from stilling the mind to unlocking miraculous phenomenological events of many kinds, all rooted in the focused intent of the individual performing the operation.

The following glyph demonstrates how the Tetractys of the Decad interacts with the Kabbalistic Tree of Life which is constructed symmetrically to the human body itself. It is important to understand that the TwinStar (which is built upon the Tetractys) imposes a higher order of Unity upon the Tree of Life in total, having the general effect of collecting it into itself while retaining it intact, since the Tree of Life is a mathematical subset of the Tetractys as well as Abrahadabra. Thus we refer to it as the *Star* and often use the term *star alchemy* in referencing its properties. It is vitally important for the student to understand that Kabbalah (aka Qabbalah, Caballa, etc) is an ongoing work in progress where the image you are scrutinizing at this moment in time marks a significant turning of the page from older models to the new. In this image the Tetractys is expressed as the 10 shaded triangles, sometimes referred to as the Secret Chiefs according to their unique positioning within the 100 internal triangles of Abrahadabra.

There is so much going on with this visualization practice that it would be impossible to summarize it all within the confines of a blog. Moreover I just like having it posted like a lighthouse beacon quietly broadcasting its signal over and over again where some will learn from it directly and others will wonder and perhaps explore its premise on their own initiative. Still others may gain from its presence without ever knowing how or why!  For those who wish to learn how to perform it, you should always begin from the Widdershins Rotation, progressing through the Deiseil Rotation and finalizing with the Final Close actions – in that order. Follow the arrows and words as well as you can until you are finally able to perform the entire thing from memory.

So that is the gist of things in an extremely reduced nutshell, but there are still a few things that need a little clarifying that will leave most people hopelessly lost or confused if omitted: (1) it always takes two rotations to result in a complete TwinStar sigil, rendering the conceptual subtext one of symbiosis at all times. Aside from the numbers 1-10, there are two other numerical properties involved in the creation of the TwinStar: The property of Ain Soph (also Ain Soph Aur) resides at apex from which everything originates and is subsequently drawn. The property of Daath ( i.e.  Knowledge) which rests between Sephiroth 3 & 4 in the Tree of Life but completes the triangle in the TwinStar.

Anatomically, Daath corresponds to the ayurvedic throat chakra and is thus linked to the faculty of speech. Although its sephirotic identity is hotly contested, Mutational Alchemy’s position is that it qualifies as a pragmatically validateable *not-sephiroth*, or *not-number* contributing syntax and grammar to the sephiroth as a whole. It is especially significant that it comes to unite with Ain Soph (whose numerical value is 0) in the TwinStar visualization practise.  Daath is well known as a collection point for every kind of mental debris whereby unconscious ignorance is able to gain a foothold over us, distorting our sense of who we are and what our purpose may be. The fact that we routinely route it through Ain Soph in this visualization practise means we have a means of flushing it of all this kind of mental garbage and restoring it to its primal serenity and calm. It is one of the many dynamic characteristics of this particular alchemical projection exercise.


The method of creation being employed in this demonstration is called the *numbers method*. Numbers are possessed of enormous integrity that demand very little of us while affording us a nearly frictionless method of operations. By *frictionless* I mean that there is very little psychological debris associated to numbers in themselves, even though some have become resistant to numbers due chiefly to negative associations acquired through public education or other kinds of traumatic exposure. In cases like this we need to restore their true relation to ourselves as they are not our enemy but among our staunchest allies. They work especially well when pioneering kinds of action we may not have every reason to be trusting, thus allowing us a full range of rational skepticism via an absolute minimum of applied belief. If there is any downside to this, it is probably that they tend to make for a rather awkward grounding action in themselves. For this I am applying the formulas A-U-M-N (to the circle) and A-H-U-A  / A-Th-H (to the triangle) both ascending and on the final drop.  These word formulas have a long and tested history but no part of the mantras being employed here are necessarily etched in stone. They are offered here as being exemplary and that is all at this moment in time that is all that is required. The word A-U-M-N simply divides the circle into 4 even parts. The Words A-H-U-A / A-Th-H create the ascending triangle which then drops plumb (from apex) and floats quietly back to center. The alchemical formula Hua-Athh has a special relationship to Abrahadabra as both words add to 418. So again – as neutral a word formulas as we may be able to find, allowing us a means of testing the visualization practise without committing much more than a prudent attention to details.

Mutational Alchemy makes constant reference to the so-called Abrahadabra Grid so it is important that we take a good look at this structure and clarify both what it means and why it matters. The only tangible remnant of this magickal word-formula we have from history confines itself to a certain medical application whose form is inverted and whose function it is to attempt to reduce the physical impact of fevers or other aggressive maladies from a dominant to a diminished capacity. It was once common medical practice that physicians would proscribe certain meditations and/or ritual practices intended to embellish whatever medications might be given to their patients. In this way the patient was always an active player in their ensuing cure which rendered the practice of medicine part-science, part-art and thus all-magick in the end.

Mutational Alchemy has a much more ambitious objective in mind, since Abrahadabra has been hailed as a most auspicious magickal word invested with tremendous power above and beyond the routine treatment of the sick. Aleister Crowley’s commentaries on Liber Al vel Legis (alongside his other writings) frames it as a misapprehended key to Praeter-Human Stars, yet throughout Crowley’s persistent volumes of endless rants on the subject it is never made especially clear why this word should be accredited so lofty a status. We are left to our own devises to determine (first) if there is any reason to think it may have some unique relationship to Stars at all and (second) what types of applications may ultimately validate its usefulness towards this unexpected end.

An inordinate amount of time has already been invested into the literal meaning of the word which has ultimately revealed very little of any real consequence. While a few outspoken individuals have insisted on its Aramaic origins, having the general interpretation “I create as I speak”, cooler heads have ultimately rejected this strained interpretation as both forced and academically unsustainable. The word literally means nothing that any responsible scholarship can resolutely confirm at this point in time. And yet the word has survived down through the ages and has almost always been associated to magick in some way. Perhaps the fact that it literally has no other meaning is one of its more defensible characteristics, but if we are going to assert that it does in fact have some especially important correlation to Stars, then we had better start looking at other reasons why this might possibly be true.

The syncretic approach to magickal word analysis offers us certain advantages not always enjoyed by other methodologies. In the case of Abrahadabra we have a well developed internal geometry that cross-references easily with other well known glyphs that allows us a more pictographic accounting of its inherent topological characteristics. Some of these are especially revealing as we shall see. Since this word is typically expressed as having eleven letters at its base reduced by one letter per eleven rows until we arrive at a solitary letter at either apex or antapex, we get the sum of sixty-six letters in total for the equivalent of an eleven-letter word repeated exactly six times. The extended word is generally not expressed in this precise way though the historical record does not tell us all the ways that might have been acceptable renderings. Inasmuch as the geometry of the word itself is unconcerned with directional considerations, we are especially interested in its ascending form for reasons which will become more evident as we proceed.

Having established our basic ground rules, we can now replace our 66 letters with simple points, connecting these together with straight lines to give us a proper grid. One of the first things we observe upon doing this is that the large equilateral triangle incorporates exactly 100 internal triangles, counting both ascending and descending forms. This is important because it corresponds to the magickal square of Earth (aka the Qamea of Earth, or Malkuth : Kingdom) This tells us that Abrahadabra is in some sense intended to convey the idea of Earth in Perfect Balance – something I suspect that most of us can agree is generally lacking in Earth in general. The second thing we can clearly observe is a balanced subset of ascending triangles adhering to the well-known symmetry of the Pythagorean Tetractys with its ten component parts spanning the entire structure from top to bottom. These are displayed in Figure 2 as lightly shaded triangles. When I first noticed this I coined them *the Secret Chiefs* as they appeared to me to be like guardian chieftains standing over the greater tribe of equilateral triangles. I even use the term *Pythagoras’s Revenge* on occasion referencing the return of *Logos* – a very important concept in Pythagorean thought since this symbol was heralded as supreme among all others and was called the *manifestation of God on Earth* according to the great perfection the Pythagoreans read into its symbolism. Last (but not least) we get a rather startling array of four concentric circles descending from the very top to the very bottom of the Abrahadabra Grid, whose appearance in this instance is not only unexpected, but corresponds exactly to the single most important Qabbalistic Glyph we know of: the Four Elemental Worlds giving rise to the Tree of Life itself, as we will begin to examine in greater detail.

The perfect placement of the four concentric rings within the Abrahadabra Grid is so profound, one hardly knows where to begin their technical explanation. The entire story of the Creation of the Universe begins around the Four Elemental Worlds and their descent from Ain Soph Aur (The Boundless Light of Nothingness) through a succession of manifest unfoldings to the material worlds below culminating in Malkuth (aka Kingdom) at the lowest rung. In the Far East they are recognized as corresponding to the Four Cardinal (binary) Bigrams: An Old Yang, A Young Yang, A Young Yin and an Old Yin respectively. In the West they assume the elemental constitutions of Fire, Air, Earth and Water but their definitions go much further than this alone. It would take the average student years to become even adequately acquainted with their properties and literally all of Creation follows upon their heels. The entire doctrine of the Adam Kadmon (the first, perfected Man) is rooted in their principle, while the super-symmetry established in their coordinated alliance both establishes and maintains the whole of Creation itself. All of this is perfectly well known in qabbalistic circles, but what it not well known and has virtually never been discussed  (that I know of) is the intimate involvement of Abrahadabra in relation to this entire Creation mythos! Looking carefully at Figure 3 we find each of the Four Elemental Worlds is balanced out by its own unique Tetractys, which again is echoed in the omnipresence of the so-called Secret Chiefs across the greater grid itself! How on earth could something as profound as this ever possibly have been missed and what are we to make of it now that we are confronted with it at the level of plane geometry? It has always been more or less assumed that the Tree of Life is such a vast cosmological construct altogether outclassing all possibility of human comprehension that it must surely be a standalone system requiring no other components to complete itself, yet here we find a very clear indication that Abrahadabra is there from the very beginning, more or less guiding the process of Creation at one remove as it were. This is our first unavoidable suggestion that the Tree of Life is a physiological subset of the Abrahadabra Grid!  The Book of Genesis reminds us: In the Beginning there was the Word… and here we find an exceptional Word that technically precedes The Tree of Life, generally attributed to the so-called Adam Kadmon, or Perfected Man which is the biblical proto-human being!

The idea that Trees may be mathematical subsets of Stars and that Stars may better define human potentiality than Trees is actually not a difficult thing to wrap our minds around once we begin breaking things down at the energetic level. The technical solution has been right in front of us all along but we have had a difficult time knowing how to make the adjustment. When the DNA code was discovered in 1953, geneticists were astonished at what a vast range of possibilities could all be defined at the binary level. Many physicists even today are convinced that there is nothing which cannot ultimately be defined within the binaries, but several thousand years ago a secondary system was postulated that put consciousness on an even footing with matter and that system was the ternary system developed by the Taoist Alchemists of ancient China. One of the things that fascinated the Pythagoreans about the Tetractys is that it corresponds to the ternaries and thus defines an entire energy codification system rooted in three principal energy flux properties instead of the usual two more indicating of the binaries. Mutational Alchemy maintains that Stars are fundamentally ternary coded systems different from Life’s other great Kingdoms rooted principally in the binaries. The difference, in a nutshell, is consciousness and at this time there is no certified proof that this theory is 100% accurate. It is a cutting-edge alchemical theory looking for some way to validate itself, but the theory itself is not new. In Figure 4 there is demonstrated several types of elemental notation that serves to identify how the ternaries are defined at the level of their most basic compound (bigrammal) properties. Where the binaries give us 4 basic elements, the ternaries give us 9 and in every exceptional circumstance denoting a ternary compound, at least one line value incorporates consciousness. Even whether it is more accurate to say consciousness or intelligence is not entirely clear but despite these ambiguities it is perfectly possible for us to identify these properties mathematically and even simulate them tantrically. The tentative prediction is that we will eventually uncover an altogether new kind of codified energy matrix that has been with us all along, similar to DNA but that it operates at the ternary level instead of the binary. Naturally we might think that this is simply atomic energy itself but indications are that it has more to do with the principle of focused intention or will in some way not fully grasped at present.

In Figure 5 we are looking at how the Tree of Life Sephiroth line up against the Abrahadabra Grid. The doctrine of the Sephiroth (Hebrew word for numbers) links these energetic epicenters to different aspects of the human body itself, whereas the Secret Chiefs (which also have their associated numbers) correspond to the Star Body, not ordinarily accessible to people unless they have taken the required time to power it up. Powering up the Star Body is nowhere near as complicated a process as most people would probably assume, but here in the West we have mostly lost the knowledge and conversation of Tantric Infusion, also referred to as Alchemical Projection in Mutational Alchemy. This can easily be restored but people have to show some interest in redeeming their Body of Light estates. No one is obliged to teach others things they have no desire to learn and no one is inherently entitled to this knowledge simply by virtue of being human. All of that aside, there is no doubt that utilizing the Star to energize and balance the Tree is the most efficient means available to us and eventually evolves into an incredibly intricate transmutational science.

It happens that there are numerous versions of the Tree of Life in circulation, but Mutational Alchemy has found a way to resolve which of these is the most useful and is ultimately the most correct. I will address this in future articles since, for right now, the important thing to take away from this article is the understanding that the Tree of Life is a mathematical subset of the Abrahadabra Grid which Mutational Alchemy defines as technically synonymous with Stars directly. When others speak of Abrahadabra they are talking about a makeshift Word of Power. When Mutational Alchemy speaks of Abrahadabra we are talking about literal Stars themselves.

   Abrahadabra IS the Star   

There is also a very strong relationship between the Kabbalistic Adam Kadmon and Abrahadabra; the principal difference being that it has generally been assumed that Man was the principal focus of Creation. Evidence I have repeatedly reviewed suggests that this assumption may have always been in error but that we lacked the proper language to draw the necessary distinction between Trees and Stars in terms of a coherent mathematics until quite recently. It has virtually never even occurred to us that the focus of Creation might have been Stars, so that the so-called Primordial Man may not look very much like a conventional Man at all! Moreover, it seems as though the Egyptians may have got it righter than most where its godforms were typically considered to have two most essential manifest options: the man-like form when standing firmly upon the Earth and the collected Wadjet form when lifted up or otherwise at one remove from Earth. This type of iconographic symbolism effectively consolidates Tree and Star manifest forms in one, roughly equating to binary and ternary mathematical synergistics, where the Tree is rooted in the binaries and the Star is rooted in the ternaries.

Abrahadabra is not just some austere word that represents Stars allegorically. It is an encrypted alchemical formula defining Stars quite literally at the level of their anatomical physics. Aleister Crowley seems to have missed this critical detail as evidenced by his general failure to correctly insist upon the Tree of Life as a mathematical subset of Abrahadabra itself. He simply could not get past his own pernicious indoctrination in the end. This is why we find him stubbornly confining himself to Abrahadabra’s role within the Tree of Life, as though that information had anything new or especially meaningful to offer future generations. No matter who you are, if you miss this pivotal detail you’ve probably missed  Abrahadabra’s  technical significance entirely.  You would subsequently be left with no adequate explanation as to why Ra Hoor Khut would personally endorse this word above all others. The truth of what I am reporting here is contained within a vast range of technical proofs that I have studied for nearly 40 years, have gone public with since April, 2002 and am in the process of updating almost daily. Study these proofs as they emerge and draw your own conclusions but the implications are stark and gravely challenging and should be considered among the most important esoteric disclosures ever revealed. If we do not have a very clear idea of what Praeter-Human Stars are, there isn’t much we can do about it at a time when direct assertive action is what we most desperately need to be engaging.  It is not at all certain how long this window of opportunity will be available to us what with apocalyptic  frenzy having reached unparalleled pandemic proportions in this morbidly nihilistic world.

Abrahadabra has been called a *glyph of the Great Work in completion*, which is a reasonably catchy phrase but actually tells us next to nothing. If Abrahadabra has something of value to offer us we need to break this annoying habit of assigning nonsensical value to it and replace that with the value that it really does represent; value that can be independently verified and subsequently acted upon. Scrutinizing the Abrahadabra Grid is a good place to begin this process since it turns out to have some very remarkable characteristics we would almost certainly be operating at a severe handicap for lack of understanding. At this pass, much of what it has to tell us is still occurring at the theoretical level but the sheer volume of startling information it reveals is sufficient cause for us to step up our investigation as aggressively as possible. It’s (encrypted) imagery appears to be doing a great deal more than painting a pretty picture of what Stars look like for instance. Rather, it appears to be revealing a comprehensive biostellar physics that identifies what Praeter-Human Stars are as well as how they work. Armed with this unexpected physics, there may ultimately be nothing we cannot accomplish by way of mastering its underscoring principles and training them to suit our various purposes.

Carefully examining Figure 6 tells us something very important about a fundamental difference between the Abrahadabra Grid and the Qabbalistic (aka Kabbalistic) Tree of Life. Even though the Tree of Life can be said to be nestled under the umbrella of Ain Soph Aur (the Boundless Light of Nothingness), it has no direct access to it! There is no path or other structural bridging that takes us right up to its physical location. For all practical intents and purposes, The Tree of Life begins at Kether, whose number is 1, not 0! The Abrahadabra Grid, by way of contrast, stems directly from 0 and unfolds uniformly all the way to 10 (called Malkuth, or Kingdom). This is just one among numerous  reasons we are justified in asserting that the Tree of Life is a mathematical subset of the Abrahadabra Grid; that the Tree is something like its Magickal Child, carried safely within its own independent Body of Light. It happens that the Secret Chief that occupies the apex position also bears a number, whose number is 1, but the 1 of the Abrahadabra Grid vs the 1 of the Tree of Life are two very different kinds of 1, since the 1 of the Abrahadabra Grid is physically merged with Ain Soph Aur in no uncertain terms. Thus we get a logical distinction between the ideas of Crown (Kether) and what we might think of as the Highest Crown of Abrahadabra itself! Mutational Alchemy holds with this notion of the Tree of Life as a mathematical subset of Abrahadabra and in the many articles and images to follow at Abrahadabra.com, we will be exploring all the reasons we believe that Abrahadabra is both a pragmatic key and a full-fledged technology to literal Praeter-Human Stars.

In its Unified state the Alchemical Word of Perfection bears six letters; 3 distinguishable masculine letters I, A, & V (aka I, A, O) + 3 indistinguishable feminine letters H, H, & H. These are sometimes referred to as the Three Fathers and the Three Mothers, respectively, though this terminology also appears in other contexts throughout qabbalistic writings featuring alternative arrangements of letter values. Each letter carries a corresponding elemental property: A=Spirit (masculine) | H=Spirit (feminine) | I=Fire | H=Water | V (O)=Air | H=Earth. Due to the especially ethereal characteristic of the Spirit element, Spirit (masculine) & Spirit (feminine) can be displayed either separated (forming a 6-pointed star) or combined (forming a 5-pointed star) graphically. The displaying of the Spirit element on the same footing with Fire, Water, Air & Earth ONLY occurs in its Unified state, so this is something that students will want to make note of or it is bound to create a certain confusion with respect to subdivided states.


In each of its Subdivided states the Alchemical Word of Perfection bears 4 letters each: 2 distinguishable masculine letters, I, A & V (O) + 2 indistinguishable feminine letters H & H. Here it becomes essential to think of letters according to their familial properties, since letter-element attributions will vary. In the Heaven Word (AHIH) A=Father (Fire), H=Mother (Water), I=Son (Air) & H=Daughter (Earth). In the Man Word (AHVH) A=Father (Fire), H=Mother (Water), V (O)=Son (Air) & H=Daughter (Earth). In the Earth Word I=Father (Fire), H=Mother (Water), V (O)=Son (Air) & H=Daughter (Earth). The indistinguishability of the 3 Mother letters (H,H & H) is an important innovation that allows for the extended 12 Banners to be confined to 12 only, since otherwise we will always arrive at 24 Banners each. While we could adjust to that without much difficulty, it turns out that there are multiple reasons for preferring that the Banners be confined to 12 and Mutational Alchemy finds no outstanding issue with this and thus conforms to this traditional formatting. It is only important that students have all the vital information at their disposals and learn to operate within those guidelines that best facilitate their own spiritual advancement.



Aside from easily resolving numerous logical inconsistencies passed down to us from history, Mutational Alchemy’s mathematically coherent Alchemical Word of Perfection provides us with an exemplary means of projecting rationally compelling vibrational field constructs according to a topologically stable standard of elemental continuum. The balancing of encoded binary and ternary elemental properties in a single word formula is a very high standard to meet, yet the Alchemical Word of Perfection accomplishes this with ease when applied correctly. In order to distinguish between the four binary and nine ternary base elements we need a word capable of distinguishing between Yang (Heaven), Jen (Man) and Yin (Earth) flux values in a uniform and consistent manner. In order to compensate for directional and molecular variations in vibrational fields we need a word capable of being posited in a variety of ways without losing its integrity. We also need a word capable of staying on task at the elemental level and not veering off into either archetypal or imprinting entanglements of any kind. At the numeric level we need a word that keeps perfect pace with numerical parameters of all kinds and also is as nearly frictionless as possible at the level of physical pronunciation. Mutational Alchemy has a much more demanding need of the Word of Perfection than simply informing us as to the name, nature and cosmetic characteristics of God per se. It is through this word that we are able to simulate the Body of Light at the highest levels and ultimately suspend all lesser verbality in lieu of higher mind absorptions. It is essential that we redeem this word in order that it may redeem our own star-like attributions and natures in turn.



The traditional Word of Perfection as previously defined by medieval kabbalists is mathematically incomplete. Careful analysis of the work that was performed on this supreme word-formula in past centuries reveals an obsessive-compulsive predisposition towards ascertaining the physical and mental attributions of God viewed distinctly anthropomorphically, something that Mutational Alchemy regards as a fool’s errand to begin with. The cost of approaching things in this way ultimately resulted in altogether missing the finer points of what this great alchemical word has always had to offer us an alchemical projection devise of the highest order, which is exactly where Mutational Alchemy resumes the investigation. Following the trail of underlying rules that led medieval kabbalists to the two great elemental “names of god” also implicates a third word positioned exactly between the Heaven Word (AHIH) and the Earth Word (IHVH) identifiable to Mutational Alchemy as the Man Word (AHVH) curiously omitted from any found knowledge and conversation, historically. This is only true of Western European metaphysical expertise, since in the Far East its property was very well known and extensively addressed in both binary and ternary geomantic discourses.

It is important to observe that it is mathematically impossible to extrapolate a fourth word following the same set of rules adhered to by the qualifying three. Its relevance to Mutational Alchemy is profound, to say the least. It resolutely defines the enigmatic “Jen Principle” outlined in the historical Tai Hsuan Ching of ancient China, completing the union of Heaven and Earth with Man positioned at epicenter. This makes it possible for us to use the (corrected) Alchemical Word of Perfection to construct vibrational templates following either the binary or ternary geomantic systems with equal agility and logical accuracy. It is therefore of great urgency to declare that the Alchemical Word of Perfection properly subdivides into Three Grand Subdivisions in total instead of only two as was formerly thought. In practical application it achieves both aims at once: it can be evenly subdivided into two parts when simulating binary structures but is just as evenly subdivided into three parts when simulating ternary structures. A greater understanding of the dynamic mathematical interplay between the binary and ternary geomantic engines of life can be arrived at by studying both the 64 binary hexagrams and the 729 ternary hexagrams of ancient China, comparing and contrasting them at length.  This is a vital component in the analytical industry that Mutational Alchemy brings to bear at this time.

That the extended tantric functionality of the Alchemical Word of Perfection was either completely missed or summarily disregarded by medieval kabbalists is indicative of a misguided sense of priorities common to western esotericism in general. An abbreviated criticism of sanctioned spiritual authorities must be levied at this pass if we are to avoid the same devastating pitfall in the future. The inherent cost of either ignoring or suppressing tantric science as a viable spiritual strategy is an unhealthy reliance upon ritualized conformity alone. If spiritual alchemy has fallen into a lethargic slump in the West, this is rooted in a lack of self-determinative resolve that only tantric science is able to effectively ignite. Despite its relative obscurity, there are no transcendental principles of any greater weight than the Alchemical Word of Perfection, the gist of which is the empowering of individuals to elevate themselves without reliance upon false dependencies of any kind. To have misrepresented it as poorly as has occurred is a dismal commentary on the spiritual guardianship of those who should have known better if they had attended to their stations with greater personal authenticity. Those of us intent upon righting these wrongs in the present have an enormous barrier to overcome as a predictable consequence of this longstanding ideological inflexibility. People have become so accustomed to turning their spiritual destinies over to the whims of fate that the very notion of having a choice in the matter is morbidly overwhelming for most. Having said this, it is best at this point to make every possible effort to press on to the brighter potential that lies ahead.

Adhering to the (consolidated) council: “argue not, convert not, talk not over much; conquer – that is enough.”, this declaration goes out to those who can utilize rare technical confirmation at their own discretion, understanding that the ultimate confirmation always takes place individually in any case. But in our rush to defend our individuality we sometimes forget that it is our collective commonalities  that bind us together and it is these commonalities  that qualify the physics of the matter. Test it as hard as you can and when you finally discover that you are unable to fault the logic or otherwise discredit its strategy in any conclusive way, then you will have good reason to suspect that you have arrived at a model of elemental and anatomical Perfection suitable to build upon from Kingdom to the Highest Crown.

  *Author’s Note* *All posts by m1thr0s at this site are amended articles extracted from a much bigger work-in-progress that will be defining Mutational Alchemy in all of its diverse principles and applications.  Since there is a great deal to this topic which is many months away from completion, (Late 2018) certain of its tenets deemed as standalone topics are being allowed to run ahead of the finished book. No responsible theoretician would ever imagine himself to be the only one pioneering important new insights all by himself so that where certain breakthroughs strike me as vital to the overall discussion at hand, these will occasionally find themselves posted as independent articles. This should serve several purposes at once, creating interest in the larger work on the one hand while facilitating a sense of fellowship with other pioneers at the same time. In the Beginning…

It has finally dawned on me that a lot of people just don’t have a clue what the hell I am going on about with all this Mutational Alchemy rhetoric or why it might make any difference to anybody else. In part this is due to the fact that I started out posting things I knew would be of some interest to people I have already been in communication with for a number of years and are already themselves familiar with a good many of the essentials. But this doesn’t help anybody else and when I find that even people who have themselves been involved in one or another practices for many years haven’t a clue what I am going on about…this clearly signals a serious communication problem. So I am going to attempt to examine Mutational Alchemy from the very beginning and try to establish both what it is and why it might make any difference to others. This will actually be a little difficult for me since I am myself so steeped in many of these ideas and practices that it can be nearly impossible to remember all the steps that might have led me to the present. Nevertheless, if this is going to do anybody any good, I have to try.

Sorting Out a Few Key Terms

Anyone who has actually attempted to pour over my posts has probably already realized that I bounce around between a lot of terms you may have a very difficult time tracking down via Google. Believe it or not, there really is a powerful thread of continuity running through all of this, but in order to understand what that is, you have to first understand what it is that I do best and where the vast majority of my personal emphasis has been placed throughout my own esoteric practise. Rather than just lay out a “glossary of terms” as was suggested by one member, I am going to try to initiate this ground-up discussion and stop at intervals to clarify those terms I am introducing for the first time. To begin with, everything I discuss at any time revolves around the so-called Body of Light and its mastery. That is my whole focus in this immediate incarnation. Before and After everything else I may ally myself with, I am first and foremost a Body of Light Technician. It is the thing I have been studying since I was a teenager (I am 53 years old at this writing) and it is the backbone of every magickal/alchemical discussion I engage. Whether I am discussing Abrahadabra or the Tetractys or the TwinStar or the Lo Shu Diagram or the Tai Hsuan Ching or even Ningishzidda and perhaps 100 or more other things you have rarely heard of, it all comes back to the Body of Light and its mastery. That is where my passion lies and that is what I am always going on about in one form or another. So forget all these other terms for a moment…we will return to them in due course. For the moment I want to just discuss the Body of Light itself and try to extrapolate the core assumptions underscoring this language. Getting straight on this will determine whether or not any of the rest of this stuff is of any real use to you. If you are not onboard with the Body of Light as a matter of utmost importance, nothing else I can ever say will ever matter much anyway, since, believe it or not, that’s actually all I ever really talk about.

The Body of Light

The *Body of Light*is a generic term pertaining to the notion of an *etheric* body (and bodies) that is thought to exist in tangent to the physical body itself. Similar in concept to the rings of a rainbow, the idea is that the physical body, as we know it, is actually only the lowest rung in a lattice network of bodies descending from the Highest (subtlest) to the Lowest (coursest). Various *models* of this extended anatomical network of bodies have been asserted over time, some asserting as few as 3, others as many as 7 or more grand divisions within this overall Body of Light framework. At the time of this writing, if you run a search on Wikipedia on the Body of Light you will come upon a kind of misinformation that has done enormous damage to the correct understanding (and productive discussion) of the Body of Light as it has been asserted since the dawn of history by many different cultures in many different ways. While it is true that Thelema has its own rendition(s) of this ancient metaphysical thesis, any knowledgable Thelemite will be able to tell you that this is drawn primarily from Golden Dawn teachings, which themselves are largely drawn from traditional and hermetic qabbalah sources. There is in fact no such thing as a uniquely Thelemic Body of Light standard (though there is, in fact, a new model to be weighed, which I will come to presently). A more responsible contemporary treatise on the Body of Light in western magickal tradition can be found in Mark Stavish’s condensed essay The Body of Light in the Western Esoteric Tradition It should be noted that references to Chi Kung (see: Qigong), a traditional Body of Light discipline endemic to Chinese Alchemy, do not strictly apply to the model being presented in Mutational Alchemy. Chi Kung works with Chi energy which would typically be seated within the solar plexus region and is developed and directed at will by the experienced practitioner through a complex system of breathing and visualization excercises. There is nothing inherently wrong or invalid with this practise…it is simply not the same model of light-energy that we are dealing with in Abrahadabra/Mutational Alchemy. The closest historical parallel I have been able to find to the Mutational Alchemy system is the Merkabah , or “Chariot of Soul”, from Qabbalistic literature, of which very little has been written outlining its mastery. While certain similarities do exist between traditional Chi and Kundalini practices and the principles outlined in Mutational Alchemy, the techniques, properties and overall objectives are quite different. In Abrahadabra we are attempting to energize and gradually phase into the *StarBody* itself, as depicted in the Abrahadabra Grid, of which the Tree of Life is viewed as a physiological subdomain, or mathematical subset. We base our proof of this *StarBody* system…first upon the geometry of Abrahadabra itself and finally upon the actual results we obtain through working with elemental energy fields directly. It is thus very important to scrutinize these maps very closely, as this will be our starting point in developing the visualization disciplines necessary to realize any actual physical results. I should also point out that you are going to be operating without much of any *safety net* in the Abrahadabra/Mutational Alchemy system, simply because no *traditional* precedent is known to exist for this immediate model of reality. One’s approach has to be based upon what is internallycoherent and logically and intuitively correct, since there are no other conventional *guides* to lean upon. This is a bold new territory for pioneering spirits who can trust to their own best judgments to lead them.

Historical Overview

It is virtually impossible to determine where and when the whole concept of a Body of Light began. Ethnobotanists would typically argue that it has its origins in Shamanic traditions where the method of accessing this higher anatomical network would have involved injesting psychotropic concoctions of one sort or another and going into deep trance states where the ability to step into these higher body systems might then be directly experienced. Since there are virtually no written records to substantiate this claim, we have only the iconographic evidence of cultural art expressions to guide us here. What we do know is that very specific reference to the Body of Light anatomical structure can be dated as far back as the Vedas of ancient India, where we come to the notion of The Five Koshas. The Five Koshas, or “sheaths”, amount to rings of subtle pranic force (see also: the Vayus, or 5 Winds) surrounding the Atman, or “True Self” which resides at their core. It is vitally important for us to grasp that these “layers” as defined in the Vedas are not separate from each other…these are not separate bodies per se…but rather degrees of subtlety within the body as a whole. To this day, the Five Koshas amount to a central Yogic doctrine around which the Eight Limbs of Yoga have been developed as a means to purifying and fortifying mind & body so as to ultimately be able to access all of these “sheathes” at will. At approximately the same time as the Vedas are being compiled in India, in the far east we see the emergence of a Dynastic China which is ushered in with a comprehensive model of universal reality in the form of the I Ching. The I Ching is typically touted as an *Oracle*, used for the purpose of divining Fate for good or ill, but it is actually a great deal more than this. The I Ching is a complete Cosmogony, defining Earth, Man and Heaven in one Grand Unified logic, or physics. While it would not, on its face, appear to be an actual model of the Body of Light, we know that around this physics the entirety of Yin-Yang Medicine sprang into being along with its doctrine of Chi. We find very ancient mappings of Cosm outlining whole universal continuum and Man’s place in relation to this, so that the sum of all its parts and all of its extensions, does in fact give us a model of *man-made-perfect*, which is, at its heart, what the Body of Light is really all about. The differences between the Indian and the Chinese approaches are very interesting to observe, since what we find is that the Ayurvedic (East-Indian) model is emphasizing Microcosm where the Chinese system is actually more focused on Macrocosm. Nevertheless both systems set immediately about to integrate the physical body itself, so that while the Ayurvedic system evolves into the Chakras, identifying energy along the spine, the Chinese system evolves into the Meridians and is plotting Chi pathways throughout the body…including higher states of energy/consciousness not ordinarily accessable without the advent of disciplined concentration. Exactly where and when Western Civilization joins in with this discussion is a little hard to track with a perfect certainty. We find evidences of Trees of Life dating all the way to Mesopotamia but Body of Light doctrines have almost universally been “hidden” from the profane…these were were secret teachings imparted to the initiated only and so it is difficult to know for certain just how much resides within the ancient Greek or the Persian or Hebrew cultures for instance. What has filtered down to us more-or-less intact has largely come by way of the Qabbalistic Tree of Life and its tenets, yet we know that parallels do exist in the Druidic, the Nordic and other places across the globe. Similar to the Chinese system in many respects, the Qabbalistic Tree of Life is principally focused on Macrocosm. The Tree of Life is not really charting energy along the spine so much as it is attempting to map out the relationship of Universe to Man. Even so, in lieue of the Hermetic Alchemical axiom “As Above – So Below” – “As Within – So Without”, what we discover is that anything which does a good job of charting Macrocosm will inevitably find its reciprocal compliment in Microcosm as well, and vice-versa. While the Tree of Life is not intentionally tracking the “Gunas” for instance, nevertheless the Gunas are clearly represented in the 3 Pillars themselves. Because Man is still the measure by which Universe is being defined, what corresponds to Macrocosm has an immediate relevance to Microcosm also.

Underscoring Assumptions

The careful reader may have already observed that in some respects we can assert that what has come to be called The Body of Light might also be called “The Mind”. And indeed, if we follow Carl Jung’s lead in this respect, then just about anything that attempts to define archetypal relationships of any kind has something to do with this discussion. For the Hermetic Alchemist, Mind & Matter are really all about the same thing…all made from the same “stuff”…just vibrating at different frequencies. Why do we assign “bodies” to archetypes at all? Why is it so important to us that Gods have certain forms and certain powers and so on? The mind classifies things according to “kind” and we are always the measuring rod against which our knowledge is measured. Even if we break parts of this habit, we will almost certainly never be rid of it completely. Form speaks to Function and to understand a things’ Form is to understand its Value. One of the core assumptions surrounding Body of Light literature is the idea that human beings are fundamentally a house divided. It is universally asserted that what has occured is that consciousness has descended from a primal Unity into a condition of Duality and is now confronted with the difficulty of regaining this lost equilibrium. Exactly why this may have occurred is subject to different points of view, some contending that this has to do with a powerful pull towards individuality, others that it is simply the way consciousness acquires new experience, still others that “intelligences”, like stars, are formed in a womb-like condition but must pass through this whole process to become fully matured and so on. I do not speculate on the reasons so much myself but I am reasonably convinced of the Unity/Duality scenario in general. Work that we do on the Body of Light is intended to restore this Unity. When you hear talk of a Supreme Attainment, or the Great Liberation, or the Great Work in Completion etc, we are always talking about the idea of having established…or re-established…this original Unity, with the possible exception that having carved it out in adversity, it should not be so easily lost again. Nearly all mystical and/or magickal doctrines teach that Mind is the key to Matter, so we need to weigh that in as one of the core assumptions around which Body of Light work is defined. If we did not think that deliberately focusing our Minds in certain ways could amount to significant changes in terms of Matter itself, there would be little point left to any kind of meditation practice at all. It is important to periodically revisit this core assumption to reassess everything it implies. The primary tools of all visualization work are Light and Sound, and why is this? Because Light and Sound are the two most powerful tools the Mind has at its immediate disposal. Beyond this, we actually do know that all gradations…all conditions of matter…are Light/Sound waves vibrating at varying rates and frequencies. What is sometimes difficult to wrap our brains around is that the faculty of Thought itself may ultimately be all that is required to shape or reshape any condition of Matter. Concurrent to this theme of Thought being the key to Matter is the notion of Right Thinking itself. This is a very important core assumption I want to drive home from the start, because, again, it is an area that has suffered a great deal of damage over time. From the time of the Vedas it has always been maintained that Right Thinking combined with Right Action points the way to Right Destiny itself. But what is “Right Thinking” when the matter turns to things highly esoteric? Too many times we are spoon-fed explanations and instructions as to how we should proceed that make no natural sense to us, yet we are often told that this is not important…that we can only come to understand these things by doing them without question. While there may be some justification for this in limited doses, the real problem with perpetrating this kind of instruction is that you are not ultimately producing free-thinking individuals who have sorted out their most sensitive personal practices for themselves. In the end you wind up with people who know how to go through the motions but have no real idea what they might mean, since they were never encouraged to ask what they might mean to begin with. You cannot achieve Right Thinking if you do not allow for a full measure of Skepticism and Doubt from the outset. Here in the context of Abrahadabra/Mutational Alchemy, “Right Thinking” means exactly what it should mean…it means asking and answering all the hard questions until you have very clear and compelling reasons to take “Right Action”… This could go on but for the time being my objective is to lay down a few essentials pertaining to the Body of Light itself, the history of it, and its most central core assumptions. For the most part I think I have fairly well done that. I will return in the next segment and begin looking at why Abrahadabra might be anything particularly special… m1thr0s
