The number of ternary hexagrams possible. The number 729 is of penultimate importance to The Abrahadabra Institute due to many reasons that we won’t go into here.
Abrahadabra (and Abracadabra)
Abrasax (Commonly: “Abraxas”)
A twin godform linked with true monotheism (as opposed to trinitarianism). For example in Liber al vel Legis “There is no God where I am” dovetailing with “There is no God but Man” in Liber Oz. In Mutational Alchemy this form of supreme ultimate Godhead bears significance as any twin godform has a relationship to the TwinStar. The iconography of Abrasax depicts him with the head of a rooster (possibly the ancient Roman Valdarno breed as depicted on the card scene Prince of Blades from The Mutational Alchemy Tarot, which was not insignificantly, White, Black and Red – the same colors as the traditional Taoist colors assigned to flux values Yang, Yin and Jen. (see the entry for Tridosha) He is shown holding a whip, a symbol of punishment and discipline and occasionally a shield (sometimes mistaken for a bow, this is incorrect) and in alchemical images he holds the sun. He is wearing armor, typically Roman or Greek. He is assigned the property of the King of the Stars, and thus we can assign him significant importance to the dialogue surrounding the axiom Every Man and Every Woman is a Star posited by Aleister Crowley. The rooster is a special symbol signifying the Lord of the Dawn and thus the Lord of the Horizon, all attributes of Ra Hoor Khut which will not be discussed in depth here.
The Abrasax serpents share a horned characteristic with the Sumerian Bashumu (Cerastes cerastes in the native fauna, and assigned to the God Ninazu and his son Ningishzidda in the Sumerian snake cults) which causes the astute scholar to investigate further into the young archaeology of ancient Mesopotamia. A twin form with serpents or dragons is quite ancient, dating back to the time of Sumer, when certain gods or goddesses including Inanna were said to have the ability to “bring together great snakes and dragons” symbolizing their power over chaos, not only to subdue but harness, maybe a civilizing effect and possibly a nod to the mystical seeming powers of husbandry, cities and tools over the rest of nature. A proto-Abrasax set is mentioned by Franz Wiggerman in his 1997 paper Transtigridian Snake Gods, the gods Istaran and Nirah, “snake” and “little snake” respectively. Nirah is possibly equated with Istaran’s son, and is his messenger. His serpent legs mirror the much later Abrasax form. It may be important to note that snakes, particularily Cerastes cerastes and monitors which both frequented the Mesopotamian landscape shared many of the attributes assigned to the Mushussu and the Bashumu. More revealing of Abrasax and the prototype of Abrasax found in Sumerian (originally Elamite) iconography is the fact that both snakes and monitors (as well as almost all lizards) have two penises. This fact would not have gone unnoticed by the ancients and may explain why Istaran’s “son” has two serpent legs and the double-serpent iconography persisted. Snakes themselves persisted in Man’s imagination since before the dawn of history. Scientifically they share an important link in our evolutionary development, as the predator which made us smarter. A secretive Kurdish serpent cult has survived in the mountains of Northern Iraq at least up until the recent war in the Middle East, and several snake cults are still well established in the American Southwest amongst the Zuni and Apache nations so that we can see that the roots of Serpent God worship runs deep into prehistory, enjoys widespread appeal, sticks in the mind of Man wherever snakes can be found, and with artifacts such as the first known caduceus unearthed at Choga Mish, has an elaborately documented history encasing some of our most precious iconography . Istaran and Nirah were transplanted from the Susianna plain (The Elamite Nation) to Sumer, and Istaran and Nirah inspired the serpent-loving Sumerian peoples to install an alcove at the Temple of Ningishzidda (See entry for Ningishzidda below) at Lagash, the city of King Gudea.

The Greeks, especially under Alexander and the Romans, were wonderful at gathering and transplanting foreign cult secrets to other parts of the globe and so it is these intrepid and friendly explorers who we probably have to thank for not just creating the Abrasax symbol, but possibly for stealing it outright (In proper Hermes form) from the fallen nations of Elam and Sumer. This may all seem of only passing interest to the Academian but to the modern Qabbalist the connections that can be made are startling, considering the Gematria and significance of the alchemical symbology displayed. Just to start with Ningishzidda=418 and so does Abrahadabra as discovered by m1thr0s at The Abrahadabra Institute. The correspondences to Abrasax alone go on and on for as long as one wishes to keep drawing from that well.
A variant of the Abrasax form, who is depicted with a rooster’s head and male body, is the double tailed siren, Melusine, also called the Alchemical Siren, popularized by the coffee and coffeehouse company Starbucks who snagged the symbol out of J.E. Cirlot’s Dictionary of Symbols.

Body of Light, the
The *Body of Light*is a generic term pertaining to the notion of an *etheric* body (and bodies) that is thought to exist in tangent to the physical body itself. Similar in concept to the rings of a rainbow, the idea is that the physical body, as we know it, is actually only the lowest rung in a lattice network of bodies descending from the Highest (subtlest) to the Lowest (coarsest). Various *models* of this extended anatomical network of bodies have been asserted over time, some asserting as few as 3, others as many as 7 or more grand divisions within this overall Body of Light framework. Works that describe the body of light can be found all over the world.
A nickname for the intelligence of the Will of Heaven in the East or Logos in the West. So named because of its appearance in entheogenic and visionary sessions. Can be used as a term relating to The TwinStar or any of the symbols relating to a higher class of intelligence. The Lo Shu/Saturn Sigil, Tetractys, Metatron’s Cube, Sephiroth, Hidden Diamond or the I Ching itself all fall under its banner. Another name for Father Chaos.
Homo Sapiens astralus/asteri
A sub species of human, stellar in nature, referring to the next step in human evolution towards stars. Derived from the axiom “Every Man and Every Woman is a Star” proposed by Aleister Crowley and first coined by the American occultist Izi Ningishzidda.
“Asteri” is a Greek word meaning “Star”
Traditional Greek literature refers to Logos as thought itself, whether it is a spoken word or an internal idea. The concept is somewhat similar to the Nordic wyrd which has come to be associated with Will at least at The Abrahadabra Institute. This Logos, Wyrd and Will is nothing less than the Will of the supposedly omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient force in control of Ain Soph Aur and thus the creator and controller of the entire multidimensional cosmos documented by Kabbalists such as Isaac Luria and the authors of the Zohar, respresented in model as fractal set of many multiple trees stacked one on top of the other, with each tree’s Kether being the Malkut of the tree above it. In the Graeco-Judaic philosopher Philo’s writings (20BC-50AD) this is considered to be the firstborn of God, but as well as this Logos is not separate from God, it is merely the Supreme Personality of Godhead as Krsna is often described in the Bhagavad Gita. Not the totality of God, but the part of God that is revealed since knowledge of God’s nature evokes terror and and immobility in most humans. Christian doctrine holds that Yeheshua (Jesus) was Logos incarnate, while for Mutational Alchemists it is revealed in the axiom “There is No God but Man”. Most Luciferian doctrines are just rebuilt Gnosticism and center on the idea of the Logos as well, equated with the traditional old Victorian concepts of Lucifer. The Buddhists would would refer to it as The Buddha. It is the idea that any comprehensible idea of God is the Logos. The Abrahadabra Institute doesn’t bother so much with idea of God, Lucifer, or any other fairytales taking place in the heavens, since none of us can be very clear about God, it just isn’t worth debating. The TwinStar is consider to be a metaconsciousness that is in fact the physical representation of Logos connecting us directly to Godhead.
An archaic form of the word magic, dating back to the 14th century. It was revived famously by Aleister Crowley, who used it to differentiate ritual magic from stage magic.

The Mahavidyas are the ten forms of Devi. They are:

Kamala: Goddess of wealth
When taken together they are Kali or Durga (most auspicious)
The TwinStar is the tetractys and is thus a formula of the Mahavidyas.
Muš huššu (Mushushu)
The mušhuššu was the dragon of Ninazu, city god of Enegi and Ešnunna, and of his son Ningišzida. These are the creatures depicted at the top of abrahadabra.com’s forums. They are also depicted flanking the caduceus, in its earliest known representation as the symbol of Ningišzida. (Although an earlier representation, over 8,000 years old has a type of big cat surmounting the caduceus.)
From Old Akkadian times onwards (2400 BC), Ninazu was succeeded in Ešnunna by Tišpak, whose traits mainly derive from Ninazu, including the association with muš huššu.
It is from Tišpak that the muš huššu was taken, and given to Marduk, after the defeat of Ešnunna by Hammurabi (1900 BC). Muš huššu translates to “furious snake” or “awful snake”, the creature had in earlier times lion parts and dragon parts, but over time “the lion parts are progressively replaced by snake parts” and the creature is called a “snake-dragon” by modern scholars.
Wiggermann characterizes the Muš huššu as “perhaps an angel of death, killing with his venom” which is entirely consistent with an the behavior of snake creatures such as the ušum/bašhmu, the enemy of the exorcist in early incantation, or the ušumgal who like the Muš huššu is also a serpentine chaos monster, defeated by the warrior god (defeated opponents often enter the service of the gods.) It is worth emphasizing that nothing seems quite black or white with Mesopotamian religion, and that which was feared was also respected and so in some situations it was counted on as a protective force – the Muš huššu was used in some periods as an Apotropaic figure, on plaques or palace walls, to ward off evil doers. It’s not that it was incapable of evil doing itself – but if properly respected and revered would possibly unleash its venom on an uncontained enemy. The dragon is also mentioned in a hymn to the building of Ningirsu’s temple, a temple built in Lagash by Gudea (whose personal god was Ningishzida.)
Mutational Alchemy is a branch of Hermetic Alchemy that specializes in the analysis and manipulation of *elements* as defined in very simple geomantic terms…most notably the binary and ternary mathematics of the I Ching and the more complex (and more obscure) Tai Hsuan Ching in particular.
A colloquial spelling of Ninĝišzida discovered and originally used by m1thr0s. It continues to be used at The Abrahadabra Institute to avoid confusion with strictly literal and archaeological studies, as well as fiction (Zetcharin Sitchin). The name means “Lord of the Good Tree” in Sumerian and refers to the Transtigridian snake god who connects directly with the oldest form of the caduceus and a proto-Abraxas deity with an alcove at the Ningishzidda temple near Lagash. He is also a deity of the principles of Kingship. The name spelled Ningishzidda equals 418 using Gematria, just as Abrahadabra does, and this with 11 letters as well, which is highly important. m1thr0s discovered the name in a dream and upon hearing it wrote it down and checked the Gematria on a napkin in a coffee house. The coincidences with this godform continue to astound and we give it wide leeway for interpretation. Readers are advised to proceed with caution in any direction.
A word coined by The Abrahadabra Institute in 2000, as a play on the commonly used “preterhuman” passed about in occult circles, to describe humans with reach deep into themselves and outside of themselves to interact with a theoretical network of consciousness embedded within an unknown medium. It is a combination of the word praetor, meaning a high ranking Roman magistrate, charged chiefly with the administration of civil justice, and the common word for Homo sapiens.
The word was coined to describe Ningishzidda as a possible identity for the mysterious *Aiwass* whom Aleister Crowley encountered in 1904 where the intelligence communicated Liber al Vel Legis via apparition and through the acting priestess, Rose Kelly, Crowley’s wife.
“The Voice of Aiwass came apparently from over my left shoulder, from the furthest corner of the room. It seemed to echo itself in my physical heart in a very strange manner, hard to describe. I have noticed a similar phenomenon when I have been waiting for a message fraught with great hope or dread. The voice was passionately poured, as if Aiwass were alert about the time-limit … The voice was of deep timbre, musical and expressive, its tones solemn, voluptuous, tender, fierce or aught else as suited the moods of the message. Not bass – perhaps a rich tenor or baritone. The English was free of either native or foreign accent, perfectly pure of local or caste mannerisms, thus startling and even uncanny at first hearing. I had a strong impression that the speaker was actually in the corner where he seemed to be, in a body of “fine matter,” transparent as a veil of gauze, or a cloud of incense-smoke. He seemed to be a tall, dark man in his thirties, well-knit, active and strong, with the face of a savage king, and eyes veiled lest their gaze should destroy what they saw. The dress was not Arab; it suggested Assyria or Persia, but very vaguely. I took little note of it, for to me at that time Aiwass was an “angel” such as I had often seen in visions, a being purely astral.” – Aleister Crowley
The word became expressed (although according to m1thr0s, not for the first time) at Abrahadabra.com, on the forums, in December 2000 by m1thr0s to find a correlation between the axiom “There Is No God but Man”, Aiwass and the Sumerian deity Ningishzidda whose number in AIQ BKR, the Kabbalah of the Nine Chambers system, was discovered to equal 418, the same sum as Abrahadabra, and furthermore contained 11 letters. m1thr0s heard the name in a dream in 1979 but didn’t come across it again until 1999 where he heard it in a coffee shop in Seattle (The Last Exit) and brought it home to discuss it on the (now defunct) occultforums.com.
It was theorized then as it is now that the mysterious Aiwass was a “Secret Chief” of Ningishzidda and this theory was used to explain the apparent discord between Crowley and The Book of the Law, which spent most of its early years in a rubbish heap according to Crowley himself.
The word “praeterhuman” was later expanded to encompass not only these superhuman intelligences that communicated encrypted documents and inspired humanity, but all examples of Homo sapiens sapiens expressing a transition into a subspecies known as Homo sapiens astralus, a word coined by Izi Ningishzidda, m1thr0s’ wife. The emerging subspecies of Homo sapiens astralus, and the intelligence of other non-human *consciousness stars* interacting with humans via unidentified means is what is described by the word praeterhuman.

The TwinStar is sigil magick of the highest order originally created by m1thr0s, central to the practice of Mutational Alchemy, and copyrighted by The Abrahadabra Institute. Its simplicity of form may tend to belie the force of its underscoring *knowledge and conversation*. There is nothing stronger in this world or any other. To simulate its form is to elevate your very soul to unimaginable altitudes, velocities and magnitudes. It is built upon the Pythagorean Tetractys and assumes its shape according to a special way of counting out the 10 points therein. This is *active visualization* stuff in practice…what I prefer to define as *alchemical projection*…Body of Light meditation tech containing entire universe in a single glyph. As with the Pentagram, magickal formulas may be assigned to its form combining light and sound with focused intention. In this instance, even using simple numbers 1-10 is sufficient to invoke praeter-human intelligence of the most potent (and unexpected) kinds. Requires no belief per se, though the greater ones’ understanding, the greater its effects will be grasped. There are countless more secrets residing within the sigil but this cursory explanation will suffice without more detailed studies.
The Sephiroth, or Tree of Life with all of the Hexagrams arranged in rational order according to the Proximity Principle on it. This is an alchemical master formula under the heading of Mutational Alchemy, a term employed to identify a specific kind of so-called *spiritual alchemy* in which the laws of physics involved are exactly the same as they are in every other dimension of Mind and Matter. There are a few different arrangements depicting other cosmological conditions. the foremost describing perfection in The Body of Light is called The Primordials. It is not important that all of this be understood or believed per se…what is important is that it be seen at all. It is said that some glyphs have the power to spark profound enlightenment simply by being viewed. This is such a glyph.
