The fourth Mutational Alchemy meeting (correctly called a symposium, since we drink and philosophize at it) is going to be held in honor of the Hidden Paths Diamond, and promises to be one of the best discussions  yet.  Even if you are only vaguely familiar with the Sephiroth (and it is suggested you do familiarize yourself with it before arriving) you shall get quite a lot out of this exciting topic.

In the book of the law, Nuit, the sky and star goddess states, “the ordeals I write not: the rituals shall be half known and half concealed: the Law is for all.”  She goes on:  ”Nothing is a secret key of this law. Sixty-one the Jews call it;  I call it eight, eighty, four hundred & eighteen. But they have the half:  unite by thine art so that all disappear.”

There seems hidden in this passage a set of instructions for the process of accomodating the edict that “Every Man and Every Woman is a Star”. Between the House of the Tree and the House of the Star is the Diamond, which perfects the tree by infusing it with tremendous energy otherwise impossible for the Tree by itself to attain. The Word of Perfection is also encoded into the Hidden Paths diamond, thus it is capable of both Binary and Ternary operations in Sigil Magick. It is closely associated with the 16 square Kamea of Jupiter, and the 16 binary tetragrams as it has 16 paths.

Although some have pointed at the Hidden Diamond at our art shows next to its partner of the Tree of Life and called it the “Tree of Death”, this is a misnomer. The Qlippoth and or the Nightside Tree are completely different doctrines, the Qlippoth is the doctrine of the shells, it has to do with what was left over at the creation of the universe. (Think of  a broken egg from which a serpent or chick has emerged)  However, having said that, there is a connection between the Sephiroth themselves and the Hidden Diamond but the fact that the paths are hidden does not connect them to the Tree of Death –  especially consiering their coherent imagery, which is not broken – it is not a shard.  People are overly fixated on the Qlippoth right now but not everything not inherent to the Tree of Life is Qlippothic. The structure of the diamond is also not tree like at all, so suggestions that it is the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil are wrongheaded at best. It’s more in the genre of the merkabah than the tree. It does in fact elevate us, and this elevation moves us towards the star principle.

The Hexagrammal Fields which unite Macrocosm and Microcosm are a Star Property, and the diamond is a property of the Tree which helps us form a bridge or stepping stone towards the Star. So it is very important to us in the predicament we find ourselves today as humans, and will continue to be important for hundreds of years til we all “grok it”.

The Diamond, representing the banners, with its 16 paths (4×4=16)  stands behind the Twinstar, representing the more complex and lofty hexagrammal fields.  Both are astonishingly housed within Abrahadabra as pictured.
