eve online project discovery to harness players for exoplanet analysis

CCP’s Eve Online made the news last year when “Project Discovery” was introduced to players who performed scientific analysis on human cell maps in order to speed up research. Players are rewarded with in game items in exchange for performing analysis of real cell charts.
CCP’s Team Psycho Sisters announced the next project being released. Eve players will assist scientists in sorting and analyzing exoplanets, contributing to the important goal of reaching space, and, a habitable world. The data is sourced from the COROT mission spearheaded by France and based in Europe.
The COROT website states “COROT is the first mission capable of detecting rocky planets, several times larger than Earth, around nearby stars.”
Eve Online is free to play, so get in there and start finding planets!
