I’ve been advised by the Secret Chiefs ;) to release this small portion (2 out of 16 pages) of the introduction to Abrahadabra: The Anatomy of the Body of Light ahead of time. This work will be released as a series of volumes. The work is not completed yet, though a huge portion of it has been completed and we’re running way ahead of schedule. It will take some time before it is necessary to complete it. I have not been given a publication schedule yet and I am not allowed to know any other details yet when that date will be set. – Izi
Introduction to Abrahadabra: The Anatomy of the Body of Light by m1thr0s (Copyright The Abrahadabra Institute)
The manual that follows is unique and mysterious. There is nothing like it anywhere in the world, or I would not be compiling it at this time. Its subject matter is so austere and people so apparently oblivious of its principles that I had long ago resigned myself to unraveling its mysteries on my own initiative. There has always seemed to me to be very little point in attempting to solicit any support for this work, since it has been my experience that the very same people and institutions who are the first to tout the importance of new ideas are also the first to undermine them. Finding no organizations I could form any useful alliance with anyway, I resolved that any sufficiently important body of original metaphysical research would have little choice but to evolve by stealth. I have subsequently contented myself with being a free agent exploring a noble model on its own merits, with no social obligations attached. The situation has changed. Even the remotest of mystics cannot always remain aloof from the troubles that plague his world. Economic opportunism has accrued unprecedented wealth and power through the routine plundering of anything in its path. Suddenly it finds itself caught in a cowardly dilemma – what once seemed only a casual coincidence turns out to be an embedded truth: its very continuance altogether depends upon artificially induced strife and suffering. Corporate thugs are normally a rather stupid lot who until recently never fully appreciated the game they were playing and have only rarely enjoyed the carte blanche sanction of government. With the help of hired tutors they have finally figured it all out so that the economics of disaster are suddenly being perpetrated everywhere with extreme deliberation. Since the 1970’s alone roughly one third of all wildlife on Earth has been pushed to extinction with human populations falling hard on its heels, including whole nations and many millions of people. Synchronous to this stepped-up onslaught against non-essential life forms everywhere has come the systematic dismantling of individual rights and freedoms – the one thing they seem to fear above all others. Armageddon is upon us here and now and its architects are engineering it from the highest levels on down. In the face of this long anticipated evil we are left stunned and disbelieving, while a callous criminal elite pursues its genocidal agenda with murderous precision. I needn’t invent such facts as these. No sane person would believe them if I did. It appears that the story of humankind’s inalienable birthright must be told sooner than later, whether people are ready to hear it or not. I am, in many respects, reticent to reveal it in advance of its perfected mastery, though it is physically impossible to exploit it for foul purposes. If I do not disclose these facts, there exists a very real possibility that they will fail to be understood in time to make a positive difference of any kind. I also appreciate that many people have been haphazardly seeking out this cosmological master key without necessarily understanding its form. This creates an additional incentive for me to come forward, since I have always felt that a subject matter of this magnitude should be dealt with by as many good minds as could be drawn into it and not be left to be sorted out in tortured isolation. Although it has been the habit of Hermetic Alchemists to keep their esoteric secrets to themselves, there comes a time when even reasonable habits must give way to other prudence. We have entered into the Information Age carrying a great deal of excess baggage. There are players in this drama who have dug their heels in hard against any prospect of conscious evolution, who would (if they could) usher in a great Dark Age instead. In the face of such insidious aggressions, an enhanced self-awareness is inevitably one’s best (and perhaps only) possible defense. It would be an easy matter for me to play to the popular media in ways it both expects and (more often) demands. I could easily claim to have received the following cosmological blueprint in a dream or a vision or via some alien intelligence from a distant galaxy or any one of a thousand other childish scenarios aimed at bolstering my credibility with those who are unable or unwilling to scrutinize ideas according to their intrinsic merits. There would even be a certain amount of truth in this since I have drawn to powerful spiritual forces in the development of this technology that have almost certainly assisted me in unseen ways. But the bottom line is that what I have arrived at I have arrived at the hard way, through asking a lot of very difficult questions and insisting upon their answers, by taking the risks that needed to be taken and adhering to the rules that needed to be adhered to. The end result is a model of transcendent reality that hides from nothing and has no fear of being scrutinized, built upon falsifiable proofs where other models are built upon hearsay and hand-me-down traditions long ago stripped clean of anything so menial as deductive reasoning. While the star-theory of human evolutionary potential has actually been with us for a very long time (albeit masked in diverse ways), there has never been a comprehensive accounting of the anatomical properties that could render this anything more than a metaphorical allusion. This manual plugs that fatal gap and goes on to outline a concise methodology of star-body distillation and assimilation. Its value will not diminish over time and no other teaching on earth trumps it. It lays out a comprehensive visualization technique for realizing the Body of Light at levels never before attempted in such a comprehensive manner. It defines what the human *star* is and how it can be brought to bear in human experience on a daily basis. It affords all human beings a tangible model of perfection, which can be seized upon both intellectually and physically. It provides a detailed systemic for analyzing and simulating that supreme perfection, such that all rational people will have some concrete way of confronting it devoid of internal contradictions. It combines *right thinking* with *right action* to such a high degree that it will at first seem utterly impossible to achieve, yet over time will be seen to be so profoundly accessible as to completely overwhelm all other concerns and hesitations. It is a form of meditation principle and practice expressly tailored to the here-and-now, whose immediate relevance to the human condition can be expected to last indefinitely. The model presented in this manual is not in conflict; neither with itself nor any other viable reality construct of any kind. Its task is to define humankind on a universal scale and nothing less. It will eventually be vindicated as the Philosopher’s Stone, a direct emanation of the wisdom of antiquity come full circle into the present to pave a solid pathway to the future of humankind. Its parallels are identifiable everywhere one might happen to look, yet nowhere is its exact form anywhere to be found. It is the product – not only of a single lifetime – but many generations of intensive self-inspection, stretching all the way back to the roots of civilization, as we know it. It amounts to an expert distillation of the world’s store of esoteric wisdom. It requires no specialized belief system to explore its tenets and is inherently opposed to none.
Ed Note: Aspie types will notice the quote in the picture above which I created for this article is from Liber Tzaddi, but is “misquoted”. It is actually very close to the original text before an editor “corrected” the original. m1thr0s found this to be quite poor form as articles in Class A are never to be altered by human hands and may only be altered through direct contact with a member of A.’.A.’. so high in stature they may be considered beyond the comprehension of even adepts. I could not even locate the original version as I was unclear if it was in the Grady McMurtry reprint of The Holy Books of Thelema called “ΘΕΛΗΜΑ” but I went ahead and altered it by connecting to source – if you are in possession of the original Crowley or McMurtry printing please touch base at email@example.com.

Note: First let me explain that whenever I am talking about family relationships, elements, gods or any number of terms you may be familiar with that seem confusing, I am referring to them in the capacity of Mutational Alchemy which utilizes these stations to identify various strata of consciousness. Also keep in mind there are multiple sets of elements which stand alone but interact with one another in varying capacities – the four elements can expand into nine elements easily via the square and the nine-chamber Lo Shu which is what I will be covering extensively in this article for example.
Them nine sweet words “I am a god of War and of Vengeance” strike terror into the hearts of the mundane. Into the heart of the old aeon, The Black Brotherhood, the element-of-Earth grunts. The “Thelemic” apologists. Certainty, not faith – the tome contains elements of a genuine transmission from the Court of Ra. An understanding of the nature of received transmissions will ensure that a reader will not underestimate nor engage in an insufficient analysis of Liber al Vel Legis. Sometimes, when a God with business here tells us who and what they are going to do, he or she means exactly that.
This is especially true of Ra Hoor Khut: a being not known for compromise or camouflage. He has real, certain, timely power and he isn’t afraid to use it. His position as General is completely uncontested wherever he goes. The powers of Air manifest are martial, sinister, intelligent and one step ahead of everyone else. When wielded by someone as pissed off and capable as Ra, you can expect to have a bad time opposing him.
The constraints upon him are those of universal ethics and universal etiquette, not the cultural, colloquial etiquette and morality of the average human. Nothing of humankind counts towards the final resolution of the Aeon except tradition within the parameters of acceptable levels of culture. Diversity is important, after all. The aeonic change is a critical time for humanity, promising Death and death to the nonbelievers and ascension to the Stars eventually. We’ve never been so close to this promise: “Every Man and every Woman is a Star”. Yet people themselves, in general, are inclined towards the opinion they are mole-men or worse. The element of Earth is strong, clutching and great here in our world. Franz Bardon did an excellent job outlining a beginner’s coursework to rise above the constraints of elemental imbalance but few have heard of him, even among avid occultists.
The Bardon method teaches the self-initiated neophyte to list all of his or her characteristics and perform an elemental analysis on each trait. This audit creates a map of the individuals’ elemental composition, allowing one to see how far they have come or how fucked up they are, alternately. In all my 24 years of discussion, teaching and reading I have only heard of one neophyte aside from myself attempting this method thoroughly and continuing earnestly from one end of the manual to another. Another dismissed this essential first lesson as boring and unnecessary. The Bardon system IS a complete initiation into the very first layer of Hermeticism. He designed it well enough given the progress that had been made up until then within the field of Hermetic Alchemy. He is to be commended for his work despite the disruptions that had occurred and were swelling around him in his time, not only against The Enlightenment and proponents of Hermeticism but against the foundations of civilization itself. Hermeticism has never been very widespread so it is not chosen as a target directly but it does suffer under the yoke of tyranny. Its heyday lay with the Grecian Mystery Cults and later the Graeco-Egyptian temples and institutions of learning.
Analysis of the Aeons from an Elemental Viewpoint
Earth is an element that grounds and destroys by entropy, via the seductive nature of its receptivity and the opposing actions of the other elements working from within. Rotting leaves and rotting minds are all the same thing essentially in this scenario. We’ll see the ass end of every element eventually. That’s the eternal work hazard of the alchemist. What we call the current aeon, the Aeon of Ra Hoor Khut is generally recognized by Thelemites as having begun in 1904. We can call it the Aeon of Ningishzidda if we like as Montu is closely linked to all the permutations of himself, including Khensu and Hrw-Behdety or “The Horus of Behutet”. Being the Twin God (Ra is Lord of the Two Horizons) universally with 418 as the name of his house, either is appropriate. It may also be referred to as the New Aeon although at The Abrahadabra Institute we prefer Nu Aeon for various reasons. It defines itself as the Aeon of the element of Air, VIAOV. I say defines itself not only because Hrw/Montu/Ra Hoor Khut is closely associated with the element of Air (via correspondences) but because the self evident truths of what the times are changing into elementally are all around us in our day-to-day lives for those of us who are astute Hermetic Alchemists (essentially elementalists and students of change) familiar with the Royal Art and Science of Tetragrammaton. Finally the ordering of the elements looking back at previously identified aeons is correct if we also look at the standard charts. After examining the problems of the aeons and what we do not know about them (especially their length, their ordering, and the nonsensical naming conventions) I first theorized and brought to m1thr0s’s attention what I thought to be the aeonic calendar – called the Lo Shu Square in the East, and (although it is incomplete) the Sigil of Saturn in the West.
Saturn is already associated with the Roman God Saturn, Father Time, or Chronos, as well as the Sephira Binah, called The Great Black Mother in the East who is also associated with time in her homelands. The current retreating aeon can be viewed in the upper left hand corner, corresponding to the element of Yoni. For those unfamiliar with these nine elements they were covered by Crowley but never applied to the Lo Shu and did not recieve the treatment of being given alchemical symbols which m1thr0s corrected in 2007 using a plain circle for Yoni, and a solar cross without circle for the Lingam! This dovetails nicely with the theory of aeon I am laying out here. Ra Hoor Khut is a solar creature of course. The aeons in the Lo Shu’s capacity as a calendar progress backwards so that we are now entering the Aeon of Ra Hoor Khut associated with the number 5 and the element of Akasha as well as the prime bigram for Jen, Man. This is a very lofty and important station as it represents transcendent Air, associated with alchemical levity, the philosopher’s stone and all manner of magick. It also lies within the center of the Lo Shu.
“*Maximum Inertia* *Minimum Stress*”
In this position the element of Fire, commonly known as the first element which always precedes Air is enthroned within Ain itself, or Nothing in Tetragrammaton, while also being stationed within the Lo Shu itself as a superior to Spirit, and Water supporting Spirit. Our aeon is comparable to the Mother-Father thangka where Heaven and Earth are uniting and manifesting the third flux value of the Tai Hsuan Ching and Taijitu called Jen or Man. Essentially what this tells us is the Man is on the brink of becoming Man – for real this time, no more training and trial runs as the heir to both Heaven the Father and Earth the Mother. This is the reason I argued for the right of the Primordials deck to exist – m1thr0s contemplated discarding the corners in favor of the Temporals at the last minute. I did not agree because the paintings were done while viewing the Primordial hexagrams. Aside from this the Primordials are mind-blowing in their grace and continuity with the traditional images of the tarot and needed to be revealed even if students do not fully comprehend them. Practically what this means for example, within this aeon we will achieve space travel, eternal life if we want it (via genetics, cybernetics and so forth) as well as an incredible range of technology we have not even begun to dream of. We have been saying for years at The Abrahadabra Institute that would-be students of Mutational Alchemy need to be paying attention to Science and Technology as they are major parts of the occult oeuvre even if most occultists are afraid of it to their own detriment.
The end of the Sororal Aeon of Earth (at position 7) around the time of the death of the Magna Mater cults at approximately the time of Christ, reflects the idea of the girl child growing into a woman. This brings me to the next puzzle, briefly – how long do these aeons last? The answer to that question is not known, but m1thr0s and I theorized that it was quite simple really: they last as long as they need to last, just like puberty or something. It may be there is a built in limit as to how far the aeon may be stretched out, where a species of Man is just forced to go extinct, failing to achieve alchemical levity in this aeon for example, or failing to recognize the inherent importance of both male and female in the previous aeon (Male, Female, Quintessential One – thank you America).
Something occurred to allow the previous aeon to go forward – probably undocumented as most important occult events are. Observing the aftermath of the switch into the emotionally charged and violent Sororal Aeon of Yoni (changing Water) after C.E., is quite obvious if one takes a bird’s eye view of the past 2,000 years. In ancient times, for example, we have a religion of Sororal Water (Yoni) in the Cult of Dionysus or Artemis (Diana) towards the end of the Aeon of Sororal Water.
There is a vindictiveness towards the masculine in the ill-dignified aspects of Mankind’s history, perhaps revealing the reason for Ra Hoor Khut’s emphasis on his mastery of these old aeon personalities. It is his proclamation that he is the GOD of War and Vengeance that grants him authority over the previous aeons, as they are essentially War and Vengeance personified. (I encourage anyone interested in this idea to examine the archetype of the Furies for example, or The Morrigan and compare it against the elemental doctrine of Mutational Alchemy referenced within the Lo Shu Square/”Nu” Sigil of Saturn: Sororal Water, Yoni specifically)
In Mutational Alchemy the “default” ordering of the elements is Fire, Air, Earth and Water, per most, but not all, Eastern doctrine. In this case Water is viewed as supporting Earth. In the West the ordering of Earth and Water are not fixed at all, two chronologies are predominantly seen with the vast majority of scholars utilizing an opposite treatment of the feminine, with Earth resting in the below just as it “is” in the Sephiroth or Tree of Life. Both orderings can be correct depending on the surrounding circumstances. The Eastern ordering leans heavily on the Mother-Father doctrine and reflects the Asiatic tendency to place an emphasis on the natural order of family. The Western ordering that is more commonly seen within Hermetic Alchemy places an emphasis on the Great Western Mystery Cults of Greece, Italy and Egypt. It illumines the monadic nature of the four pillars, the widely known truth that God and Goddess are one, that the Daughter, Earth, is simply the manifestation of the All-Mother self-divided for Love’s sake, that the Son, Air, is the seed of the All-Father not to be mistaken for his higher self (else the Black Brotherhood comes to power via its worship of the aborted seeds of The Father or The Son as The Father).
For those interested in examining this further, investigation of the Mithraic religions’ history is recommended as the Persians heavily involved themselves in the incestuous-sacred Mithra-Anahita cult where the God is reborn of Goddess infinitely. Similar beliefs are also to be found in the old European Pagan cults in Britain and elsewhere although everyone is uncomfortable talking about it and it tends to get shuffled under the rug. The Oedipus complex is far too common in our society for anyone to be keen on talking about it openly, but for the adept the mystery must be examined without societal prejudice (and it goes without saying to us, although not to horrified tourists reading this, no, we do not partake in incest rituals at any time, we are as horrified as you are probably imagining our parents naked) But the idea of incest was known to be a bad idea even in ancient times, so the infinite cycle of Mithra-Anahita underlines an important aspect of the God and Goddess – they are Perfect, otherwise they could not continue unhindered in this process.
Mithra famously is the first being to break out of the cosmic egg, reputedly our world, possibly igniting the dawn of the Nu Aeon two aeons ago. I suppose we’ll never know. Understanding the aeonic progression fully is impossible as we have explained up until now: there simply isn’t enough data on why they occur, how long they last, and how many different types there are. It is true in Hinduism that there is a certain ordering to the yugas, but this ordering is not set in stone: the Vedas briefly but certainly touch on the point that the Kali Yuga only came about due to the Karmic result of the actions of Krsna, the prime avatar of Vishnu. This may or may not be true but it does remind us there is a possibility the aeons may not follow a strict chronological ordering, which is why an analysis has never been set down by any civilization except as a retrospective. The Lo Shu square theory does give us a starting point at which to assume a very broad outlook on the aeons, and given its association to Saturn/Chronos the sigil appears to be a very promising lead. It still doesn’t grant us access to much more information than the nature of the numbers, elements and transitional elements. (The transitional elements being those not of the four cardinals or Spirit/Akasha, namely, Sun, Moon, Yoni and Lingam) Even the name of the next Lord, Hrumachis is a bit nebulous and the element of Lingam, plus the number four does not offer much to go on. Four of Staves in The Mutational Alchemy Tarot, corresponding to the station’s Fraternal Fire and its number, four, depicts a time at the dawn of the Aeon of Hrumachis. This wouldn’t be the first time a previously unknown mystery revealed itself as matching m1thr0s’s intuitive art direction and my channeled work on the paintings themselves. III:34 of the Book of the Law mentions Hrumachis for those unfamiliar with the text.
34. But your holy place shall be untouched throughout the centuries: though with fire and sword it be burnt down & shattered, yet an invisible house there standeth, and shall stand until the fall of the Great Equinox; when Hrumachis shall arise and the double-wanded one assume my throne and place. Another prophet shall arise, and bring fresh fever from the skies; another woman shall awakethe lust & worship of the Snake; another soul of God and beast shall mingle in the globed priest; another sacrifice shall stain the tomb; another king shall reign; and blessing no longer be poured To the Hawk-headed mystical Lord!
Ra Hoor Khut, Liber al Vel Legis III:34
The Hellenized form of Hor Em Akhet, Hrumachis is variably equated to the Aeon of Ma’at or the Aeon of Justice. By utilizing the Greek form of the name, Ra Hoor Khut is undoubtedly laying favor at the feet of Greece, a civilization well known for its savvy in military matters beloved by our Lord.
For those not following why I am using elements they probably have never heard of used normally, I will explain a bit further without using algebra. What can be said is if the possibility of Sororal Earth and Sororal Water exist (in a particular construct – they of course exist fundamentally both as ideas and elemental occurences) we need to look outside of the basic familial patterns normally attributed as the four elements: Fire, Father; Water, Mother; Air, Son; Daughter, Earth. Instead we are then we are dealing with the nine-element set, very rarely utilized in magick, yet not without precedent historically. (It exists both in Crowley’s work and in traditional Tantric Buddhism as well as in Chinese magick (Feng Shui).
First of all students of the Word of Perfection should pay attention and notice how this represents an alternative window into the Macroprosopus-Microprosopus *third* division discovered by m1thr0s that illuminates an important quality of Jen and underlines the important axiom “There is No God but Man” In this set of elements each element is neatly divided into transitional aspects accompanying the *prime* aspect, so that Tetragrammaton becomes both the Ogdoad AND the Ennead (centered around the hub of undivided Akasha). The airy nature of the glyph may not be obvious to some but will be a natural conclusion for any familiar with the VIAOV formula or the Tai Hsuan Ching, particularily in the 729 ternary hexagrams. m1thr0s certainly drove this point home by bordering the squares with the ternary trigram. The Lo Shu is closely linked to Saturn via the Western Saturn sigil. The chronologies are different in the rational numerical ordering of the trinary bigrams and in the Lo Shu, so we must analyze both to come to a proper understanding of any of the mysterious nine aeons. Sororal Water, the previous Aeon would be linked to the ternary bigram Yoni, not the ternary bigram Water, as illustrated below for clarity.
I love Ra Hoor Khut’s vengeful side. This is because I know that whatever he does is for the security of whole universe. The Abrahadabra Institute HAS to delve deeply into the mechanics of this art but that doesn’t mean any of us ever lose sight of the eternal goal of The Great Work in Completion (Abrahadabra for short): infinite bliss, infinite satisfaction, infinite diversity, infinite pleasure and of course true love. The things mankind have longed for since the dawn of *higher consciousness*. I’ve looked all over this damned planet and people are selling themselves short every time they approach the invisible throne. *Kether* (Crown in Hebrew) is all about pleasure, life, liberty and above all, equilibrium.
The mirrors on this site are designed to wake some people up, but to stay alert some of them need to be performing the TwinStar meditation at least daily. This signal cannot be killed although many people have tried over the years. It breeds a kind of resentment and confusion amongst the *people*. We are not for them. We are against them. This is exactly as it should be and also oddly enough not as it should be. What I mean is that the state of what was once called Spiritual Alchemy today is dismal. Most humans are in a fallen state. That is incorrect. Within that enviroment The Abrahadabra Institute has no choice but to take an adversarial approach, a war time approach, to the general public. There were warning signs of where Man was headed going back as far as Pythagoras, Abraham and Giordano Bruno. People attracted to The Abrahadabra Institute consistently misunderstood Abrahadabra, the TwinStar, Mutational Alchemy – everything to do with these subjects. Mutational Alchemy Fields were completely lost on even those who tried to learn them. This is a very dangerous subject to misunderstand, which is why I had to figure out how to reconstruct a curriculum from the ground up, with a constant finger on the pulse of the underground occult movements.
This realization left m1thr0s with little else to do but enjoy his last few years of retirement and to prepare me with the data and charts I would need to succeed in this task. Even so he was still producing work up until his death attempting to drive some of the more basic points home – There is No God but Man, for example, and the emphasis on entheogenic praxis. There is a simple lesson to be learned in living your life with Abrahadabra. With every little compromise you make in your life – whether it’s family or friends or career related, you lose a little bit of yourself every time. Pretty soon, you may be left with little to nothing to achieve levity with or receptivity when the Will of Heaven calls. Selling your soul doesn’t occur with diabolical contracts and bloody ink…it occurs slowly in every minor and major compromise we make conflicting with our higher self and our True Will, ΘΕΛΗΜΑ. If you choose to sacrifice a little of your energy and time to Abrahadabra, on the other hand, the sacrifice is made to yourself and your mind alone – no one and nothing else. That mind is large enough to include and encompass all you love and hold dear. The Emperor in Liber Tzaddi has an incredible revelation to say in all of this.
“I reveal unto you a great mystery. Ye stand between the abyss of height and the abyss of depth. In either awaits you a Companion; and that Companion is Yourself. Ye can have no other Companion.”
The alchemical axiom *Male, Female, Quintessential One” remains in force, despite this. One evening, The Magister Ouroboros 729, with a sly expression on his face asked me smoothly “Have I ever explained 2=3 to you before?”. “No, but it’s all over your work you know”, I smiled. We went on for a few hours about the various aspects of 2=3 in Mutational Alchemy. The conversation lead to Liber Tzaddi. m1thr0s explained to me that the book was as important, if not more important than the Book of the Law, and was also the first to point out that it represented a genuine transmission from The Emperor corresponding to ATU XVIII aka The Dragon aka Tzaddi in The Mutational Alchemy Tarot. He cited it as one of the most influential books he had read under Hymenaeus Alpha’s OTO, next to The Book of Lies, Liber 333. He went on to elucidate that although it had never been unofficially identified as such within the OTO he was quite sure it deserved as much, if not more attention than Liber al Vel Legis.
For those wondering why I took the number 777 after my name, I’ll explain. It’s called the Flaming Sword of Eden, counterpart to the Serpent and corresponds to the lightning bolts in the Tree of Life. It also represents the House of God occupied by Heru. The secret name of Horus is 359 and the name of the House of Abrahadabra is 418 aka Ningishzidda (359+418=777). Coincidentally the sum of Hymenaeus Alpha (Grady’s magickal name) also equals 777 which is a nice coincidence as m1thr0s, Magister Ouroboros 729 was initiated by Grady McMurtry. The precedent number of the station, 729 relates to m1thr0s’ work with the Body of Light and the 729 which is a key to it via the 729 ternary hexagrams, which he theorized to be the overarching code interacting with and directing the 64-base DNA code (explained in a previous article). Furthermore the name 777 was approved by m1thr0s 729. 777 – 729 = 48 + 2= 50 ;)
Izi Magister Ouroboros 777
A note about this chart. First older students of m1thr0s’ work will recognize the left five columns as his. The last two columns are mine. Although Spirit can alternately be identified with Abrasax or Baphomet or any other Monosexual representation containing opposites within itself, for the next aeon Ra Hoor Khut will be a sufficient name to figure into this chart. You may substitute Abrasax or any other ishta dev you find suitable although I do reccomend sticking with twin forms or martial forms, and predominantly masculine deity as the feminine is receding and the the masculine is dominating in this aeon. This is in reference to flux values of course and should not be confused with genitalia as I have already discussed extensively that Homo sapiens astralus is of the Jen element whether male or female gendered. Essentially the Nu Aeon will be a type of spiritual patriarchy and set those ill-dignified notions of patriarchy from the old aeon of Sororal Water right on their head. It is too early to make predictions about the rule of Hrumachis but opinions may be formed from what I have discussed here already. I believe this chart to be fairly stable but it may change in the future. For example, there was some debate between m1thr0s and I whether the the elemental Earth and elemental Air should retain association to the family station Daughter and Son, respectively. Therefore the chart could reference them as filial Earth and filial Air. Whereof the distinction would then be made that second set of Sororal and Fraternal are not only filial in the elemental state, having begun their independence and ascension to their own rule they are associating and engaging in exchange with the opposite side of the universe, thus kicking off the great dissolution. *Male, Female, Quintessential One.* (Macrocosmically, or for Chaotes, fractally on a large scale, not specifically relating to the turn of the Aeon I discussed earlier) This doctrine also found in the Twin Trees Primordials and Twin Trees Temporals charted by m1thr0s has been discussed in prior articles. A key to this is the assertion from m1thr0s “The Father has given his Daughters over to the Mother and The Mother has given her sons over to the Father” in reference to the nature of the Temporals reciprocal inverts. It still remains to be seen whether the first expression, or chronologically earlier Son and Daughter should merely be titled *Sororal* and *Fraternal* or *Filial Sororal* and *Filial Fraternal* in either case rest assured this is technically correct – Sun and Moon are filial to their respective native parent, ie the Sun is still filial to the Father and the Moon is still filial to the Mother. This is not the case with Earth and Air which are coming into an inheritance. A similar doctrine can be found in the THOTH tarot where Knights are treated not as the King, but as an interloper deposing the King. m1thr0s and I didn’t care for that take on the Primordials as it smacked of Old Aeon debris but it is an example of how elementals may be expressed in down-to-earth human terms so that the reader is assured this style of elementalism is not without earlier precedent.

The first person to publish their findings on the connection between the I Ching and the DNA genetic code was Harvey Bialy. In his paper, “The I Ching and the Genetic Code” (1974) he states that Yin and Yang were synonymous with purines and pyrimidines, the two kinds of molecules working in interplay in the DNA system. He also goes on to provide reasonable assumptions on which base corresponds to each value: adenine, guanine, cytosine and thymine.
He uses the convention of aging fluxes, Old Yin and Yang and Young Yin and Yang. Believing that the more polarized of the two sets, the purines, were equivalent to Yang, he identified Adenine and Guanine with young and old Yang, or Air and Fire. Harvey Bialy was a Qabbalist, as one finds he mentions that the Daleth, Nun and Aleph equal fifty-five, the secret number of Malkuth. (The sum of 1-10) An ancient Sumerian script states “The days are fifty, the nights are fifty, but the days of lies are fifty-five.” Considering the Lord of Lies is also the Lord of Life it’s not too difficult to draw a parallel to Hadit the serpent of light with the double-helix caduceus and his bride Nuit the lady of Stars and Night, who states “I am Nuit, and my word is six and fifty.” It seems Nuit is the Mother Mathematican, and Hadit Father Nature.
Mutational Alchemy, the discipline of The Abrahadabra Institute developed by m1thr0s, is the study of and manipulation of the changes or mutations of the universe, the same mutations that occur in the I Ching and in the DNA code. Mutation of the biological type is directly responsible in part for the process of evolution. When a Yin or Yang flux changes polarity, such as in the case of a hexagram shifting into another, it is called a mutation.
The connection between Yin and Yang isn’t the only parallel here of course in DNA and the I Ching. The analysis of the code is humanly imperfect and attributions of each compound to the bigrams remains arbitrary and guesswork. Nature doesn’t speak in a language us primitive apes understand yet, he’s working with a perfectly elegant system that works universally and perfectly.
Johnson F. Yan Ph.D did some of the finest work on the I Ching and the genetic code, by taking the cube model of Watson and Crick and applying the hexagrams to it. To show you how and why the DNA code is also the hexagrams it must be first understood that the code directs cellular function by speaking in codons. Importantly to our discussion the codons consist of three sets of paired pyrimidines and purines, and the code consists of four of these, just like the four binary bigrams. These are our hexagrams, as there are six total pyrimidines and purines in a codon. Dr. Yan reasoned that the Adenine and Guanine, the Purines (memorized using the mnemonic phrase All Gods are Pure) are larger molecules than the pyrimidines and should be consider old. (The mother and the father are old Yin and old Yang) This departs from Bialy’s model which notated the purines as Yangs and the pyramidines as Yin.
The codon comprises the wyrd of the DNA, each one is a command. There are exactly 64 of these command words, as one would expect just as the Chinese discovered there were only 64 permutations of all of the binary hexagrams. It’s interesting to note this took a long time – not all regions of China used all 64 hexagrams, nor did they agree on the arrangements. It took over a thousand years for the I Ching to “settle down” into the set we now see in the excellent Wilhelm/Baynes translation called the King Wen arrangement.
This relationship to DNA and the I Ching is why we call the I Ching a bio-feedback system, perfectly balancing the microcosm of humans with macrocosm. It is the Hierophant himself, directing change and keeping us in connection with the Will of Heaven.
It would not be a mistake to say this code is responsible for most animal life, at least here on earth. Other codes exist that don’t use the same compounds our DNA uses, but they are still be based on the same two part(helixical)/four part(ATGC)/three part(codon) style, otherwise known to Hermetic Alchemy as Bigrammaton, Tetragrammaton and Trigrammaton.
m1thr0s theorized from this that their is a second set of encryption known as the 729, the code of The Body of Light. These are the 729 ternary bigrams, adding a third element called Jen that was only partly researched in China and subjected to intense attacks by the enemies of The Enlightenment, such as Ch’in Shih Hwang-Ti and Mao.
The 729 is at the heart of the mysteries The Abrahadabra Institute is interested in studying, even though the task of decoding them is a daunting one, especially considering our science has not yet mastered the 64 yet, let alone discovered what the 729 is using as its medium.
By the math itself the code has to exist in nature – what it will be like when we find it is a wholly unknown and will be uncovered by some unknown future pioneer long after m1thr0s and I are dead.
This however, does not mean that we cannot utilize the 729 right away, at least half-assedly. There are tools here on abrahadabra.com and scattered throughout the occult body of the world that belong to any human by right of birth and can be used to at least partly interface with one’s Body of Light. The mastery of the control panel of The Body of Light is exactly what Tantric masters are doing, it’s what Qabbalists are doing when they play with the three mothers and the three fathers, the three worlds of the Sephiroth.
I hope this short explanation helps anyone get started on their study of the I Ching and the Genetic Code. There is much still to be done but grasping these basics of just how and why the codes match up so well is an essential piece of data for any occultist to know today.

*Author’s Note**All posts by m1thr0s at this site are amended articles extracted from a much bigger work-in-progress that will be defining Mutational Alchemy in all of its diverse principles and applications. Since there is a great deal to this topic which is many months away from completion, (Late 2018) certain of its tenets deemed as standalone topics are being allowed to run ahead of the finished book. No responsible theoretician would ever imagine himself to be the only one pioneering important new insights all by himself so that where certain breakthroughs strike me as vital to the overall discussion at hand, these will occasionally find themselves posted as independent articles. This should serve several purposes at once, creating interest in the larger work on the one hand while facilitating a sense of fellowship with other pioneers at the same time.
Mutational Alchemy Essentials 001
In the Beginning…
It has finally dawned on me that a lot of people just don’t have a clue what the hell I am going on about with all this Mutational Alchemy rhetoric or why it might make any difference to anybody else. In part this is due to the fact that I started out posting things I knew would be of some interest to people I have already been in communication with for a number of years and are already themselves familiar with a good many of the essentials. But this doesn’t help anybody else and when I find that even people who have themselves been involved in one or another practices for many years haven’t a clue what I am going on about…this clearly signals a serious communication problem. So I am going to attempt to examine Mutational Alchemy from the very beginning and try to establish both what it is and why it might make any difference to others. This will actually be a little difficult for me since I am myself so steeped in many of these ideas and practices that it can be nearly impossible to remember all the steps that might have led me to the present. Nevertheless, if this is going to do anybody any good, I have to try.
Sorting Out a Few Key Terms
Anyone who has actually attempted to pour over my posts has probably already realized that I bounce around between a lot of terms you may have a very difficult time tracking down via Google. Believe it or not, there really is a powerful thread of continuity running through all of this, but in order to understand what that is, you have to first understand what it is that I do best and where the vast majority of my personal emphasis has been placed throughout my own esoteric practise. Rather than just lay out a “glossary of terms” as was suggested by one member, I am going to try to initiate this ground-up discussion and stop at intervals to clarify those terms I am introducing for the first time. To begin with, everything I discuss at any time revolves around the so-called Body of Light and its mastery. That is my whole focus in this immediate incarnation. Before and After everything else I may ally myself with, I am first and foremost a Body of Light Technician. It is the thing I have been studying since I was a teenager (I am 53 years old at this writing) and it is the backbone of every magickal/alchemical discussion I engage. Whether I am discussing Abrahadabra or the Tetractys or the TwinStar or the Lo Shu Diagram or the Tai Hsuan Chingor even Ningishziddaand perhaps 100 or more other things you have rarely heard of, it all comes back to the Body of Lightand its mastery. That is where my passion lies and that is what I am always going on about in one form or another. So forget all these other terms for a moment…we will return to them in due course. For the moment I want to just discuss the Body of Light itself and try to extrapolate the core assumptions underscoring this language. Getting straight on this will determine whether or not any of the rest of this stuff is of any real use to you. If you are not onboard with the Body of Lightas a matter of utmost importance, nothing else I can ever say will ever matter much anyway, since, believe it or not, that’s actually all I ever really talk about.
The Body of Light
The *Body of Light*is a generic term pertaining to the notion of an *etheric* body (and bodies) that is thought to exist in tangent to the physical body itself. Similar in concept to the rings of a rainbow, the idea is that the physical body, as we know it, is actually only the lowest rung in a lattice network of bodies descending from the Highest (subtlest) to the Lowest (coursest). Various *models* of this extended anatomical network of bodies have been asserted over time, some asserting as few as 3, others as many as 7 or more grand divisions within this overall Body of Light framework. At the time of this writing, if you run a search on Wikipedia on the Body of Light you will come upon a kind of misinformation that has done enormous damage to the correct understanding (and productive discussion) of the Body of Light as it has been asserted since the dawn of history by many different cultures in many different ways. While it is true that Thelema has its own rendition(s) of this ancient metaphysical thesis, any knowledgable Thelemite will be able to tell you that this is drawn primarily from Golden Dawn teachings, which themselves are largely drawn from traditional and hermetic qabbalah sources. There is in fact no such thing as a uniquely Thelemic Body of Light standard (though there is, in fact, a new model to be weighed, which I will come to presently). A more responsible contemporary treatise on the Body of Light in western magickal tradition can be found in Mark Stavish’s condensed essay The Body of Light in the Western Esoteric Tradition It should be noted that references to Chi Kung (see: Qigong), a traditional Body of Light discipline endemic to Chinese Alchemy, do not strictly apply to the model being presented in Mutational Alchemy. Chi Kung works with Chi energy which would typically be seated within the solar plexus region and is developed and directed at will by the experienced practitioner through a complex system of breathing and visualization excercises. There is nothing inherently wrong or invalid with this practise…it is simply not the same model of light-energy that we are dealing with in Abrahadabra/Mutational Alchemy. The closest historical parallel I have been able to find to the Mutational Alchemy system is the Merkabah , or “Chariot of Soul”, from Qabbalistic literature, of which very little has been written outlining its mastery. While certain similarities do exist between traditional Chi and Kundalini practices and the principles outlined in Mutational Alchemy, the techniques, properties and overall objectives are quite different. In Abrahadabra we are attempting to energize and gradually phase into the *StarBody* itself, as depicted in the Abrahadabra Grid, of which the Tree of Life is viewed as a physiological subdomain, or mathematical subset. We base our proof of this *StarBody* system…first upon the geometry of Abrahadabra itself and finally upon the actual results we obtain through working with elemental energy fields directly. It is thus very important to scrutinize these maps very closely, as this will be our starting point in developing the visualization disciplines necessary to realize any actual physical results. I should also point out that you are going to be operating without much of any *safety net* in the Abrahadabra/Mutational Alchemy system, simply because no *traditional* precedent is known to exist for this immediate model of reality. One’s approach has to be based upon what is internallycoherent and logically and intuitively correct, since there are no other conventional *guides* to lean upon. This is a bold new territory for pioneering spirits who can trust to their own best judgments to lead them.
It is virtually impossible to determine where and when the whole concept of a Body of Light began. Ethnobotanists would typically argue that it has its origins in Shamanic traditions where the method of accessing this higher anatomical network would have involved injesting psychotropic concoctions of one sort or another and going into deep trance states where the ability to step into these higher body systems might then be directly experienced. Since there are virtually no written records to substantiate this claim, we have only the iconographic evidence of cultural art expressions to guide us here. What we do know is that very specific reference to the Body of Light anatomical structure can be dated as far back as the Vedas of ancient India, where we come to the notion of The Five Koshas. The Five Koshas, or “sheaths”, amount to rings of subtle pranic force (see also: the Vayus, or 5 Winds) surrounding the Atman, or “True Self” which resides at their core. It is vitally important for us to grasp that these “layers” as defined in the Vedas are not separate from each other…these are not separate bodies per se…but rather degrees of subtlety within the body as a whole. To this day, the Five Koshas amount to a central Yogic doctrine around which the Eight Limbs of Yoga have been developed as a means to purifying and fortifying mind & body so as to ultimately be able to access all of these “sheathes” at will. At approximately the same time as the Vedas are being compiled in India, in the far east we see the emergence of a Dynastic China which is ushered in with a comprehensive model of universal reality in the form of the I Ching. The I Ching is typically touted as an *Oracle*, used for the purpose of divining Fate for good or ill, but it is actually a great deal more than this. The I Ching is a complete Cosmogony, defining Earth, Man and Heaven in one Grand Unified logic, or physics. While it would not, on its face, appear to be an actual model of the Body of Light, we know that around this physics the entirety of Yin-Yang Medicine sprang into being along with its doctrine of Chi. We find very ancient mappings of Cosm outlining whole universal continuum and Man’s place in relation to this, so that the sum of all its parts and all of its extensions, does in fact give us a model of *man-made-perfect*, which is, at its heart, what the Body of Light is really all about. The differences between the Indian and the Chinese approaches are very interesting to observe, since what we find is that the Ayurvedic (East-Indian) model is emphasizing Microcosm where the Chinese system is actually more focused on Macrocosm. Nevertheless both systems set immediately about to integrate the physical body itself, so that while the Ayurvedic system evolves into the Chakras, identifying energy along the spine, the Chinese system evolves into the Meridians and is plotting Chi pathways throughout the body…including higher states of energy/consciousness not ordinarily accessable without the advent of disciplined concentration. Exactly where and when Western Civilization joins in with this discussion is a little hard to track with a perfect certainty. We find evidences of Trees of Life dating all the way to Mesopotamia but Body of Light doctrines have almost universally been “hidden” from the profane…these were were secret teachings imparted to the initiated only and so it is difficult to know for certain just how much resides within the ancient Greek or the Persian or Hebrew cultures for instance. What has filtered down to us more-or-less intact has largely come by way of the Qabbalistic Tree of Life and its tenets, yet we know that parallels do exist in the Druidic, the Nordic and other places across the globe. Similar to the Chinese system in many respects, the Qabbalistic Tree of Life is principally focused on Macrocosm. The Tree of Life is not really charting energy along the spine so much as it is attempting to map out the relationship of Universe to Man. Even so, in lieue of the Hermetic Alchemical axiom “As Above – So Below” – “As Within – So Without”, what we discover is that anything which does a good job of charting Macrocosm will inevitably find its reciprocal compliment in Microcosm as well, and vice-versa. While the Tree of Life is not intentionally tracking the “Gunas” for instance, nevertheless the Gunas are clearly represented in the 3 Pillars themselves. Because Man is still the measure by which Universe is being defined, what corresponds to Macrocosm has an immediate relevance to Microcosm also.
The careful reader may have already observed that in some respects we can assert that what has come to be called The Body of Light might also be called “The Mind”. And indeed, if we follow Carl Jung’s lead in this respect, then just about anything that attempts to define archetypal relationships of any kind has something to do with this discussion. For the Hermetic Alchemist, Mind & Matter are really all about the same thing…all made from the same “stuff”…just vibrating at different frequencies. Why do we assign “bodies” to archetypes at all? Why is it so important to us that Gods have certain forms and certain powers and so on? The mind classifies things according to “kind” and we are always the measuring rod against which our knowledge is measured. Even if we break parts of this habit, we will almost certainly never be rid of it completely. Form speaks to Function and to understand a things’ Form is to understand its Value. One of the core assumptions surrounding Body of Light literature is the idea that human beings are fundamentally a house divided. It is universally asserted that what has occured is that consciousness has descended from a primal Unity into a condition of Duality and is now confronted with the difficulty of regaining this lost equilibrium. Exactly why this may have occurred is subject to different points of view, some contending that this has to do with a powerful pull towards individuality, others that it is simply the way consciousness acquires new experience, still others that “intelligences”, like stars, are formed in a womb-like condition but must pass through this whole process to become fully matured and so on. I do not speculate on the reasons so much myself but I am reasonably convinced of the Unity/Duality scenario in general. Work that we do on the Body of Light is intended to restore this Unity. When you hear talk of a Supreme Attainment, or the Great Liberation, or the Great Work in Completion etc, we are always talking about the idea of having established…or re-established…this original Unity, with the possible exception that having carved it out in adversity, it should not be so easily lost again. Nearly all mystical and/or magickal doctrines teach that Mind is the key to Matter, so we need to weigh that in as one of the core assumptions around which Body of Light work is defined. If we did not think that deliberately focusing our Minds in certain ways could amount to significant changes in terms of Matter itself, there would be little point left to any kind of meditation practice at all. It is important to periodically revisit this core assumption to reassess everything it implies. The primary tools of all visualization work are Light and Sound, and why is this? Because Light and Sound are the two most powerful tools the Mind has at its immediate disposal. Beyond this, we actually do know that all gradations…all conditions of matter…are Light/Sound waves vibrating at varying rates and frequencies. What is sometimes difficult to wrap our brains around is that the faculty of Thought itself may ultimately be all that is required to shape or reshape any condition of Matter. Concurrent to this theme of Thought being the key to Matter is the notion of Right Thinking itself. This is a very important core assumption I want to drive home from the start, because, again, it is an area that has suffered a great deal of damage over time. From the time of the Vedas it has always been maintained that Right Thinking combined with Right Action points the way to Right Destiny itself. But what is “Right Thinking” when the matter turns to things highly esoteric? Too many times we are spoon-fed explanations and instructions as to how we should proceed that make no natural sense to us, yet we are often told that this is not important…that we can only come to understand these things by doing them without question. While there may be some justification for this in limited doses, the real problem with perpetrating this kind of instruction is that you are not ultimately producing free-thinking individuals who have sorted out their most sensitive personal practices for themselves. In the end you wind up with people who know how to go through the motions but have no real idea what they might mean, since they were never encouraged to ask what they might mean to begin with. You cannot achieve Right Thinking if you do not allow for a full measure of Skepticism and Doubt from the outset. Here in the context of Abrahadabra/Mutational Alchemy, “Right Thinking” means exactly what it should mean…it means asking and answering all the hard questions until you have very clear and compelling reasons to take “Right Action”… This could go on but for the time being my objective is to lay down a few essentials pertaining to the Body of Light itself, the history of it, and its most central core assumptions. For the most part I think I have fairly well done that. I will return in the next segment and begin looking at why Abrahadabra might be anything particularly special… m1thr0s
